Why were the executions in v3 so much more gruesome than in the first two games?

Kaede is actually best Danganronpa of all. So good taste.

I liked Kaede since playing the tutorial level that had her being mentored by the other protags. Then she died and I was kind of pissed off because Shuichi just didn't have the same presence, but I thought I'd give him a chance until he grew into his own since I was skeptical of Kaede at first too. And so I waited. And waited. And he never got better. Shuichi is shit and so is v3.

Fans commented how DR2 had weaker executions then the first game, so they took that to heart and dialed the brutality up to 11 in V3

But it was too little too late and his "fuck this I'm done" was overshadowed by the game throwing out every scrap of foreshadowing it built up in the last act. Also trying to commit suicide for no reason other than to piss off fans. I get what they were going for.

Shuichi was so fucking boring and plain while Kaede actually had a character and finally it was someone with a unique talent for the player character instead of le ultimate detective xD or lucky student or le super ultra ultimate ultimate xD. Also I blame Shuichi for Kaede's death since he got her so fucking riled up about trying to do everything to catch the culprit.

The whole point of his character is that he was a guy with self-esteem issues. Kaede and Kaito existed to bump his self-esteem up and make him believe in himself. Thats what their characters and their deaths represented when they eventually met their doom. They lived on with Shuishi and he grew to the point where he got over their deaths, got over the hard truths he faced near the end of the game and went all alpha in the end making his own smart decision to end the killing game and lead everyone to their limits.
