HERE WE GO
I loved Remake and can't wait for Part 2. Why?
The characters and interaction: 10/10 they nailed it. All of them, even Sephiroth and Red XIII.
The music. I unironically listen to the soundtrack in my car.
The combat. Its fucking great. I've played through hard mode twice.
The environments. Hojo's lab, Aerith's house, Wall market, Train graveyard, etc. Well done.
Weaving in the compilation and little known characters for serious fans.
Yeah, I actually liked the compilation so I like that its encompassing it.
The meta commentary on the OG, its cool. I love that they're saying fuck you to purists.
I'm excited to not know whats going to happen.
I like the idea of the story getting bigger and maybe involving Genesis and Minerva and Spira.
I think its awesome that I'm getting the same basic structure of FF7 and kind of a sequel that expands on it at the same time.
But the best part? The salt from haters who can't accept that someone loved the game and aren't afraid of small changes.
It's not called "weebshit" for nothing. It's not fucking great. It's shit and so are you.

LET'S DANCE, ASSHOLE!

Is there a way to tell the difference between someone who likes a game because they Genuinely love it, and someone who says they like a game because they’re trolling?
I really enjoyed it, wish there was more to go back and do though. Might give it another run through before the next one
another shit remake i'll never play; same with REmake 2 and 3
You idiots DO know only one person disliked Remake, right? And they samefag constantly to make it seem like others disliked it too.
He even posts on reddit to try convince them it was flawed, but they don't fall for it.
I bought this at launch and havent played it past the part that was in the demo yet.
I built a pc a few days after and now I'm waiting for the pc version.
Im dumb.
butthurt fans from the other games in the series
FF fans are extremely autistic if you weren't aware
nah theres more than one retard on 4channel.org and reddit, dont give barry so much credit.
once the people who claim to love remake start to actually explain why they loved it, it's very difficult for them to not sound retarded. so once they do it can easily sound like trolling. like someone trying to explain why they love bubsy 3d. maybe they mean it honestly but it's very hard to take seriously.
>as usual op has bad taste in video games
>remake fans are all autistic spammers
Well we knew this from the Tifa threads but it's always good to see more evidence
>release 5% of original game
>people actually bought it
Imagine being this pathetic.
More like "ah shit, here we go AGAIN"
>Rufus phase 3 activates
Wait till you finish it and the excitement dies down
I don’t think I’ve ever changed my opinion on a game so fucking fast after thinking about it for a while and I love Final Fantasy
The original ff7 is 900hrs long????
If that were the case i would have hated the original too since the ending was ass
it is nice that im not mentally ill so im not gonna discard an entire game for an ending.
why do you listen to this board
why do you still come to this board
(You)s from schitzo retards is really fun.
your mistake was thinking about it at all
just clap when you see zack and call it a 10/10
if you think about the plot at all you'll realise it's a disaster or become a lore conspiracy theorist who is so in denial you have to watch 12 hour youtube videos that try to make sense of everything by making it even more complicated
The combat, the music, the post-game content, and many of the environmental design choices were amazing.
The intermittently extremely shitty textures and skybox are inexcusable.
The changes to the plot could have been fine if handled better, as I also enjoy meta commentary and experiencing new possibilities. I enjoy that the plot of the game is as burdened by the original games events as we are when making our way towards the otherwise inevitable.
But it was handled very poorly. It all gets dumped on us all at once at the very end instead of building up to it, and when it’s happening everyone suddenly starts talking in nonsensical riddles and vague allusions that are clearly just Nomura masturbating into the script in his usual style. Except with “DESTINY” instead of “DARKNESS”. Should have had someone else write the changes.
based
What made you think the original ending was ass?
I like this game. Sort of.
I’m fine with time jannies. I’m fine with Sephy being the final boss. I’m fine with the combat, the characters, the side quests, all of it. It’s a well done game that surpassed my heightened and then lowered expectations.
The thing that I don’t like is what could have been. I think the most annoying part of this game was the amount of pad between the very few areas. Midgar is such a well developed concept, described so interestingly that being confined to the slums and only getting a few chances to actually see the upper tier of Midgar really sucked, even more so since we spent so much unnecessary time in the slums. This was an honest chance to expound on a large environment that was largely anemic in the original game. In this game, Midgar still feels lacking but instead of being it being an small, one story house in a large, explorable subdivision, it felt like the same one story house with a lot more useless furniture and all the doors are locked. And they all look like shit for some reason.
let me ruin this thread with a single word:
TIFA!
Remake was awesome
the new story might be complete shit but I've played the original to death and if there's a chance aerith survives I'm all for it. Also it's the only way her death could have any impact again, since we've been given false hope
I dunno but I definitely maxed out the timer the first time I played it which I think is 99:59:59 if I recall
they made a game set entirely in midgar and stretched the 5 hours of the OG into 50 hours and it doesn't feel like we explore a single new location. it's just the og locations stretched into long boring tunnels. such a wasted opportunity.
