Black Myth: Wukong

What are your expectations for this? I think it looks too good to be true. Not familiar with the rip off games that China make and how well built those are. But this is a Chinese myth done by China....I don't think they will want to let us down.

If you either play as Wukong's "evil" twin that just wanted to be like Wukong or his clone and die during the Fruit Blossom mountain invasion while defending it, and then shift over to real Wukong fucking up the heavens and ending with him being under the Buddha sealed mountain, then you hear the Sanzhang from afar chanting and staff clinging. Kino.

I honestly liked Enslaved. Problem I had with it was that it was too short and we didn't get to see the whole team. Fucking Pig was thrown into a paid DLC. I guess the ending of it also made people hate it, even though I didn't have too much problem with it myself. It was too short.

This shit is going to dissappear as quickly as it showed up. No doubt its just some vaporware CGI garbage the Chinese cranked out to get some investments before the next gen starts.

Yeah we will get just another clone, zero changes zero evolution, this looks fresh for a change.

This one will come out since I'm sure it made Epic turn it's head. It will probably get sales guranteed by them, the usual deal and be made exlcusive for a year. As long as it comes out and plays good, is fine.

I think it could have been fine but they got too greedy and too arrogant. It's a perfect example of trying to bank on sequels your not promised before you even know if your first game is a hit.

Like the idea of a game or even series based on the journey to west is a brilliant idea in general. The story has a lot to work with. But you can't make your series without first getting people to like the first game. And I get it's a lot to cover but you seriously can't tell me can't have Pigsy and Sandy in it? Did we even get a damn dragon horse?

It's too good to be true. An INDIE game made from CHINESE employers and this is allegedly a pre-ALPHA build
I don't buy it. At the very least if this is some coreographed CGI done in a way to make it seem like actual gameplay, then I have nothing but respect for whoever did it

The game had so little content that there was no way to fit in two other major characters. IIRC, they even killed of the pig just before the end.

I'm buying it for the sole fact that it is only coming to PC. If it was announced to be for consoles, then no. But working only on the PC build, this might be real.

That's the crazy party. The story is like 100 chapters across 2500 pages. How in the hell do you have all that and still be starved for content. Monkey alone gives you plenty to work with.

It looked surprisingly good in the trailer but I've never heard of this dev so I'm skeptical about what the final game will be.

It had such a weird structure. I can understand they only took JttW as an inspiration, but they threw so much out and replaced it with a real cheap twist ending. They directly skipped anything related to Monkey's backstory and had him meet with "Sanzhang". Even though his backstory had so much importance in the original source. And having Trip's only wish to be going back to her village. That cuts the entire journey down a whole fucking lot. I mean, how far could her village be really? Compared to a journey to India. It was wasted. Andy's performance and motion capture of Monkey was great. The world looked great, the mechs thing was alright, the OST was good enough. Ah, fuck. A whole bunch of wasted potential.

Why do you think they give a shit about you as a market? The only place where this game is going to sell well is China and they know it.
