The best "soda" is Hiroshima Cola, from that city. I'm aware the jokes write themselves, nuka-cola, whatever, but it's genuinely the best soft drink I've ever had, and I've been around. Comes in glass bottles. God I wish I could get some here, but importing it is CRAZY expensive due to how heavy and niche it is.

That pic is unironically a great example of why brands are important. If there were no brands and you fancied a refreshing Dr Pepper™ there would be no way to determine whether you were getting a Dr Pepper™ from the store or a; Dr Choice, Dr Bold, Dr Perfect, Dr Wow, Real Dr.. Dr Thunder, Dr Right, Dr K, Dr Shaw's, Dr A+. Dr Stripes, Dr Chill, Dr Skipper, The Dr, Dr Thermos, Dr Snap, Dr Perky, Dr Shasta, Dr Becker, Dr Spice, Dr Fine Soda, Dr Zevia, Dr Dynamite, or Dr Goebbels. With brands there are no nasty surprises and you know exactly what you're getting. Without brands there would be no way to determine if what you were buying was Dr Pepper™ or Dr Poison (cyanide). If you're in some shithole country and see a McDonald's then you don't need to risk buying whatever mystery meat the street vendor is selling because you know exactly what you're going to get from McDonald's (please keep your twitter tier "jokes" about McDonald's to yourself, I know it became cool to shit on McDonald's but you do nothing but expose yourself as being a brainlet every time you make those jokes).
It's not just related to food and beverages, it's true for literally every brand there is. That's why these retards who say things like "I'm not being a walking BILLBOARD for some fucking company!" are brain dead. The brand name and logo on things like clothing is a mark of quality that you get with that brand. It's not about being a "billboard" it's about a mark of quality. That's why they come down so hard on knockoffs which directly can hamper their godo name. And hence why that pic is a perfect example of why brands are important.
