Toothpaste :)

Move on to the 21st century where games can be downloaded and don't require fucking discs

I'm British as well but surely you have toothpaste somewhere in the house.

Find a place that resurfaces discs. That’s your only option.

Breath on it until it fogs up and then wipe it with your shirt

raptor teeth

The toothpaste trick never fucking works on anything I don't know why retards keep saying it does

mayonnaise

turn it off and on again

it does but you have to follow it up with something even finer grit

Don’t try cleaning a disk with toothpaste. When I was a kid, I tried it on a Shadow the Hedgehog GameCube rental from Blockbuster. I started to brush the back of the disc after practicing with my teeth but it only made it worse. I also had to throw my toothbrush out afterwards. I returned the ruined disc hoping the employees wouldn’t notice but I still wonder what the next person to rent Shadow the Hedgehog thought when they saw the spit soaked toothpaste disc.

Why wouldnt he wipe the toothpaste with the disc IN the god damn water lmfao?

When I was a kid yellow highlighter was what we used on music cds and it did work although I have no idea of the science behind it, never tried it on a game though. I just googled it and apparently some people still recommended it. Also blowing into nes cartridges was a thing.

maybe some kind of liquid acrylic or some shit. dab some on, and use centrifugal force to even out the liquid. the liquid should fill in the gaps aka scratches.

We used to just wet scratched discs with water and wipe off the excess. Works for a bit.

get a microscope and transcribe the 1's and 0's

Just use the backup copy disc you made.

lol, he'd be dead by the time he finished. ~4,700,000,000 1's and 0's to go through.

if it's single layer

try killing yourself

plenty of used game shops can run your disc through their professional machine for a couple bucks

how does toothpaste even work if the scratches fuck up the binary

Go to a library and politely ask if they have a buffer machine and if they would buff your disc. If you're lucky, they might have a resurfacer, but whether your disc needs to be resurfaced will depend on how well the buffer does.

Go to any game store and ask them to resurface it. Will cost like $2.

It can help with scratches on the plastic, but if there are gouges that reach the actual disc then the data is going to be lost permanently.

30 seconds on the microwave will fix it.

throw it in the dryer with a bunch of rocks

Vaseline
