i got this game on sale, was pretty comfy cruising along with all the different radio stations... the truck was extremely non responsive and the opposite of fun to drive for something with such a big engine.
Then i sort of zoned out a bit and missed a hard to see turn off... added about 3 hours to my trip (real time about 20 minutes). Refunded.

>its an "onramp is blocked by some fuckstick that got in a car accident so you have to take a 1-2 hour detour because theres no offramp to turn around for at least 50 miles" episode

After leaving a long hot day of moving pallets of stuff around i like to relax with pic related

after a long day of trying to move your mom, I find that the OktaLift OLM 20-16 gets the job done

>missed a hard to see turn off... added about 3 hours to my trip (real time about 20 minutes).
the game autosaves like every 5 minutes, should have just loaded a previous save and got off where you were supposed to

well i didnt know that, but still, immersion ruined at that point

Sounds like real life.

>play ETS2
>suddenly have more respect for truck drivers
>am nicer to them on the road, somewhat understand what frustrates them
>they give me thumbs up, a flash of the hazards in thanks
strange times

I want to honk at truck drivers now as a hello but I think theyd just hate me for it

Superior trucking game coming through

Just blip the turn signal on their side, they'll understand.

>why does this idiot keep signalling he's going to turn?"

Blip it only once, retard.

It's not an actual simulator

I honestly just disable that shit. The road network just isn't dense enough to not make detours an absolute nightmare.

>kojimbo can't even make wheels touch the ground

How is American Truck Simulator?
And the newest Farming Simulator?
I need something nice and theHunter call of the wild isn't cutting it.

how did SCS do it?

Flight sim is more comfy

>have a generally good time driving around in the rain doing random deliveries
>lose all interest the moment I make the money to start the business

game is comfy kino
i'd love to buy a steering wheel for it but they're expensive

>mirror and gps overlays

>tfw linehaul driver
>tfw on the road 12 hours a day
>tfw hate my fucking life
>tfw but the pay is fantastic and I have no other skills in life except driving trucks

why? the business part is simple and runs itself. besides you want to get it going so you can buy more trucks to pimp out with custom parts

How does ETS2/ATS simulate real life trucking? Is it pretty good or is there stuff about trucking that makes it so shitty that we aren't experiencing in the games?

Just don't waste too much with the business if you don't like it. I don't think many people care much about it. Just unload whatever trucks you don't currently use on some Ivan and let the money roll in. Buy garages primarily to get strategic fast travel to places you like.

How's the promod map? I'm a bit worried about a bunch of quantity over quality amateur stuff but I've heard people recommend it. And can I uninstall it without breaking my save?

>Drive through Calais, France in Euro Truck Sim 2
>no refugee camps
>no refugees littering the streets, trying to climb on your truck/steal your cargo
>no lines of police doing absolutely nothing about this because they good boys

0/10 shit game. unrealistic as fuck

If only real life was a bit more like the hellscape that Fox News tries to portray every day, huh?

gimme a (you) if you can back up your truck to the trailer (advanced coupling of course), hook it up, take it away, and then deliver it in the hard spot without using fake mirrors or external cameras.
