you have an 850 power supply in your computer, right user?
You have an 850 power supply in your computer, right user?
Do you have 3 graphics cards? If not, then there's no point.
>he doesn't know
I do have 850w, but jesus christ fucking nvidia
>2-8 pin to 12-pin
>8 pin and not 6 pin
Huh?
Hearing my PSU going fizz, crackle and pop for the first time was terrifying. When I could sell the fumes, I knew it was dead.
you nibbas be crying when gpu don't advance enough and you nibbas also be crying when gpu push themselves to the limits
fucking crybabies really do be like that huh
I have this and it's all I will ever need, I do not have an Intel CPU and neither do I have any high-end components
>12 pin connectors for gpu
when did this happen?
Just now, when 30 series was revealed.
>even high end AMD draws only 140-160W
>latest jewvidia estimated to draw 400W
Using basic calculus I’d say 700W it more than enough for any build that didn’t fall for the 10th gen Intel meme.
>you have an 850 power supply in your computer, right user?
I have a 1200 platinum psu, I like to future proof.
my name is freddy francesco and i have a 3kw power supply, i have enough power to run 1 nvidia gpu
can you?
N-no... I have an AMD gpu...
Know about what? I'm using a 1080 Ti on a 450w psu
1000w reporting in
Lol OP is a powerlet
oh wow do i need energy to produce the miraculous fun images generated by pure light? holy shit i better find a new hobby
rtx 30xx? ringing a bell?
can't you just use 8pin + 4pin?
no you stupid goy, you have to buy the cable
No. I don't :^(
Combined, literally everything else in your computer besides the gpu should use less than 250w, only exception to this is if you're using and HEDT cpu like threadripper. At most you should need 750w.
6 and 8 pin connectors aren't wired the same, an 8-pin delivers 2x the wattage of a 6.
>Huge EATX Case with 2 Mobos
>1200W modular PSU
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Why y'all black niggas getting 1000W PSUs but they are manufactured by chinks and are of shit quality? Like, nigga, that shit gonna blow your PC up
name one game thats worth swapping 1080ti for in the next 12 months
I have a Corsair 850i fully modular PSU. Thank fucking god. Where can I get this cable?
People keep making out it's a big deal but in reality if you are dropping a couple of grand on a GPU a couple of hundred on a PSU is nothing.
In your GTX box, they aren't going to be retarded enough to leave it out.
I will stay on my 650 until it explodes.
iirc I got 1100 or maybe just 1000. Gold. I got it after years of using a 750 supply that had a shit efficiency and wouldn't be able to supply enough power on hot days.
>he still buys nvidia cards
Mine is 450w but it's kinda bad, I'm probably going to get a 650w gold psu sometime before the end of the year
please go back to réddit
Why would you need that?
Even the 3000 series won't consume that much power.
>he buys cheap high quality cards with drivers so shit games are unplayable for months after release
If AMD had done anything to fix ATIs driver in the 15 years since they brought them it might be a real option.
It's for the high end 3000 series, 3080ti and 3090 level.
>OH NOOOOOO I CANNOT PLAY FAGGOT TRIPLE A GAMES ON MUH GRAPHIX CARD FOR A FEW MONTHS
sorry i'm a poor fag and don't give a fuck about literal garbage, i'd rather mod some old games.
and have literal no use for a card above 300$ because i don't play ubishit or anything really unoptimized.
I do not think they will require more than 650/750w
What's the best PSU manufacturer?
I'm not having a go at you ya sperg, I'm having a go at the company that paid $6.94 Billion (inflation adjusted) for ATI but can't hire a decent driver dev team.
My cpu already draws half that and my GPU overclocked draws the rest
i mean they should have done that years ago, but what can you do about it besides bitch and moan? it's crazy to think they cannot bother to properly give OpenGL support but what ever. i'm not even sure if it's amd's fault or windows anymore.
Seasonic followed by Super Flower. Most of the high-end psus from different brands (Corsair, EVGA, etc.) use one of those.
>CPU that draws 400W
Is it a 3990X?
will 600W be enough for 30xx cards?
All I know for sure is OpenGL, Vulkan and DX all work fine on nvidia. I have the suspicion the ATI bosses kept their job as part of the deal and it's just like when Boeing brought McDonnell Douglas and the MD management pulled Boeing down to their level.
I have 650w something seasonic gold standard, am I good for 3090?
I have a 9900kf
Probably not but if you are buying a 3090 what's an extra $200?
Do you have a high end Intel CPU? Are you going for the overpriced 3090? If both are no, 600W will be enough. If both yes, 600W won't be enough and you want 850W. If you answered "no" to one, the answer is maybe. Use a PSU calculator to check your power draw at the moment and then add the 100-200W an Ampere card might require.
