What is the redpill on Titanfall 2?

It's on sale on Steam, and seems to get a lot of love these days. Is the multiplayer still active?

It had more players a few weeks ago than at launch.

Immense skill ceiling multiplayer with loads of room for experimentation. Its easily the best multiplayer FPS of the 2010s.

Campaign is worth the sale price by itself, lots of fun without overstaying its welcome. Multiplayer is a lot of fun but you need to get used to how powerful hitscan is. You can succeed without it, but you need to play around it and learn the maps and your loadout well.

Well I didn't know that since you were talking about buying the game on sale. Either way, the campaign is a good v way to prepare for multi since you learn many of the weapons, movement abilities, and Titan kits in it.

I find a match in less than 20 seconds at any time so it's fine

Campaign is fun, weapons are satisfying to use, movement is incredibly satisfying once you master it grapple > stim don't @ me The only issue is that you're going to be jumping in the deep end for multiplayer because most of the time you'll be playing with people who at the very least now have a few weeks on you, and at worst never stopped playing since launch.

Yeah. Attrition you'll get near instantly outside the dead of night. Other game modes less so.

Only if you're slow. 1 had more air control, bhops were better than slide hopping for retaining and gaining speed.

Grapple is a broken and gay crutch. You shouldnt be able to go faster than the games tickrate without significant setup. People literally cannot shoot you because you are moving so fast.

No. 1 was slower in every way, people have analyzed the hammer data. Not only was it slower movement wise, the gunplay was clunkier.

Only thing it had over 2 is titan gameplay. But titans are a meme for casuals to get kills on the actually fast people.

Just because every scrub or wannabe pro runs the crutch guns doesn't mean the projectile weapons aren't there. Most fun I had in the game was learning how to Wingman while going fast.
The options are still there, only metaslaves stick to SMGs and Spitfires.

You are playing against slow grapplers. When you reach the peak velocity in the game you are going faster than the server can keep up with.

Stimniggers can still go faster though, as you can break peak velovity by stimming into a grav star.
