why does no one ever talk about the most unironically based game on the switch?
>free >completely skill based >simpletolearnhardtomaster.tiff >cool cosmetics you earn by playing, no mt's >no retard voice chat >can be played in short sessions or hours at a time and still be enjoyable either way
i have over 200 hours in this game and have enjoyed every second of it. it alone makes the switch + nintendo online membership worth having.
>>odyssey Shit >>botw On wii U >>fucking shittons of indie you couldn't get on handheld before Lmao
Eli Nelson
as this user says, it's against 99 people hence the Battle Royale part
is it the craziest most original idea in the universe? no, but it iterates on an already perfected game (tetris) in a way that allows you to have hours and hours of fun, without any typical shitty f2p skinner box bullshit. given that it's free, i think that's pretty cool.
you can just go play freetetris.org if you wanna do marathon, or any of the other countless ways to play marathon in 2020. the $10 doesn't create a barrier to the meat of the game. more than anything, it's a way of showing support to nintendo for creating something fun and releasing it for free, plus giving frequent tournaments to give the opportunity to earn cosmetics.
Xavier Reed
>meat of the game >opportunity to earn cosmetics wtf is even this shill speak
Leo Garcia
Because fuck T-spins.
Logan Nguyen
nobody plays on the other consoles because they're all here on Zig Forums crying about the switch
Liam Price
Tetris Effect BTFO it out
Joseph Perez
Fuck them because you can't do them or you think they're unfair?
Justin Moore
Not him but they're running a business user.
Chase Hughes
It's not free you mong since you need to pay for the switch online subscription to play it. You're as bad as the PS+ shills who claim their "free" games are free.
William Ward
Great game and basically the only reason I switch off my hacked emunand. Love the origami king theme. Its music is so good that I have a hard time choosing between it and the default theme.
Levi Reed
Fuck them because I've been playing Tetris for 30 years and don't want to learn a new game breaking mechanic that makes it impossible to play competitively without abusing. It was fun for the first few weeks, but now it's literally impossible to break the top 5 without using T-spins.
Cameron Kelly
>pixelshit tranny games are a major selling point ohnonononono
Joseph Williams
cool, just don't call something you have to pay for 'free' mr shilltendo
Cameron Ward
Playing tetris is comfy time for me. Tetris 99 is good but I don't like getting faced against japanese grandmasters when I just want to relax stacking some autism blocks.
Liam Hughes
>shill >game is free
crawl back in your hole
fine fair enough but if you own a switch odds are you will have that anyway, also frankly for the amount i play it $20 a year is worth it
Jacob Jones
it's not free retard, you paid for that barebones tetris with your ninty subscription
John Nelson
that's fair point its certainly not relaxing in the same way as vanilla tetris. for me i'm a huge tetris fag for years so getting to actually put my skills to use in a competitive setting is rewarding.
Juan Hill
fine but how many people honestly own a switch without paying for the online service?
also >barebones what do you mean? it's tetris put into a BR setting. what could they possibly add without fucking it up? the vanilla game is already essentially perfected.
Robert Brown
Final Fantasy XIV is my favorite free game. I mean, you have to pay for it. But after that, it's free.
>unironically based and it alone makes the switch + nintendo online membership worth having. You shill faggot, at least your post is somewhat funny
Josiah Howard
it's just one fucking game mode that is free, that's as barebones as it gets
Jacob Hill
yeah, because paying an upfront fee for a game is the same exact thing as getting a free game that comes with a subscription to an online service that you'd probably buy anyway to get the most out of your console. surely you understand that your comparison doesn't make sense. i already had a nintendo subscription so i could play smash, so to me the game came at no additional cost.
again, i have over 200 hours in the game and have enjoyed every second of it. how many games are in your steam backlog that you've never spent a second on, or that you regret purchasing? for me, 200 hours of fun is well worth the price of the switch PLUS 20 a year. then again, it was a gift for me, but still, id rather have gotten it as a gift than, say, a xbox.
Isaiah Roberts
I'm not him, and it's the same principle as paying for your internet, building a PC, and paying for your Netflix getting free shows.
Carson Baker
nope, too far down the slippery slope consoomer - that's sunken cost fallacy. Some hardcore players only have nso for Tetris 99. Be honest with what it is.
