It seems to have native PS4 controller support with PS4 buttons. Just disable "PS4 Configuration Support" in steam's controller settings and close DS4Windows if you have it. Potentially has problems with v2 ps4 controllers so maybe just mod in the buttons.

Windows recognizes the PS controller just fine. MS went out of its way to block its inputs, because it's the competition's device.

They literally didn't do anything, Windows can't use it because it doesn't have a fucking driver for DS4.
If Sony cared about PC support they'd write a fucking driver instead of leaving their users in the mud and having to use 3rd party software.
