this, I only play because I enjoy it with my friends. Any body who plays wow for lore must hate themselves because at this point the lore is fucking awful. I didn't even pay attention to the story in BFA, just powered through it to do group content with my buddies. Honestly we are just waiting for a better mmo to come out to replace wow. Played ffxiv for a bit but didn't like the forced group content to push through the story especially when i got to stormblood.

The story doesn't even make sense anymore, everything is written by like three different teams who don't communicate with each other, and practically everything that happened in front of a player's eyes was retconned anyway.

My favorite was when the Horde planned a jailbreak to spring Lady Ashvane out of Tol Dagor, and it's implied that Sylvanas has huge plans for her or whatever, and then the next time you see Lady Ashvane she's ordering naga to fire on you and there's never any explanation for what the fuck happened, how she got away and joined Azshara, why she did it, why Sylvanas wanted her in the first place, nothing.

The only way he would be there is if all the timelines were connected in death butt that doesn't make sense either because then there would be multiple versions of the same character running around in there.

Blizzard are retards. They didn't consider that when they created the Shadowlands concept as it is now. Someone literally asked that and they weren't sure and never gave a proper clear answer. If Garrosh is in the Shadowlands its going to be because of some bullshit where hes from our timeline so he belongs to this Shadowlands or theres only 1 shadowlands the spans all timelines.

The Shadowlands doesn't make any sense.

An "afterlife" wouldn't develop extremely specific 'high cultures' with themes and motifs closely related to what one could potentially find in the living world, with inhabitants that act and behave as if they're just living in another country in the living world, but actually in the afterlife. UNLESS the 'state' of existing in the Shadowlands permanently and severely altered the minds of everyone to for some reason consider this normal and wipe their memories of the living world in order to not have them go completely mad from missing living, but nothing suggests this is the case and can be concluded to not be the case.

The only thing that makes somewhat sense is the "personally tailored afterlife for each individual" thing, but this means that there exists conscious beings/a conscious being of near limitless power that makes this so, as no naturally occuring force would be autonomous and intelligent considering it would consist of non-organic (non-life conducing) matter. Why hasn't this being been brought up ever in the Warcraft universe before? And if such a being were to be introduced, it would diminish all other previously established beings/fundamentals of the universe, aswell as contradict peoples beliefs about life and death.

This expansion is the amalgamation of a number of factors:
1. MUH COOL QUEEN SYLVANAS storyline
2. Out of ideas/places because of autistic thinking of "one expansion = one theme"
3. Talentless 2020 nu-Blizzard
