It was dogshit

It was a great game user you're not alone

This, there's a reason after Sunshine we had four linear 3D Marios in a row.

Sunshine is fun but it's aggressively rushed and incomplete.

- Few levels
- Blue coins suck and there's no way to know if you even have all of them in a specific level
- Overuse of red coins (some levels have 2 separate red coin shines) on top of blue coins
- Every level has a shadow mario shine, peak laziness
- Even the isolated platforming sections are reused

It's a shame because it has tons of charm.

Name ONE game with better water than Sunshine, I'll wait.

name one shine that was fun to get

you forget the fucking pachinko shine, and the yoshi shine

fuck, sunshine is so bad

wave race blue storm

Based. Even with it's flaws, It's still better than super waggle sphere.

Fun to play, but not for 100%.

>majority hates it
What? Lmao Mario Sunshine and Paper Mario TTYD are like the last good Mario games, Sunshine is more polished than the 90% of current games, the game has more hidden mechanics than Sekiro
This board of zoomers really talk shit about early Nintendo? KEK

I didn't forget, those are fucking abysmal but having a few bad shines in a collectathon platformer isn't a deal breaker.

Those 2 shines don't make the game bad, what makes the game bad is that most of its 120 shines are filler time-wasting garbage and reused content.

Dark Souls 2

I also think its the 2nd best 3d Mario ever.

>Thinks gamecube is early Nintendo
>Calls others zoomers

There was a PS1 game where they spent 2 years perfecting the water yet it ended up looking meh tier at best kek, good looking water is all art and less tech.

If you gave Galaxy 2 SM64 movement and physics it would be the best 3D Mario game by a mile

People who played in the early-mid 2000s are 'fake' zoomers, a real zoomer doesnt know a world where you arent connected 24/7.

>sunshine
>polished
You're delusional. I love the game, but I'm aware that it's incredibly buggy for a mainline mario game

Mario Sunshine, just like Wind Waker, was a game that COULD have been amazing but is instead a rushed, unfinished, overrated mess.
Sadly Iwata taking over and needing games out ASAP to save the Gamecube sealed the fate of both titles.

EZ: Bioshock

>few bad shines
the majority of shines are shit!

I'd still buy a remaster at this point.

galaxies levels aren't built around that movement set, so it wouldn't improve anything

same, the only mary-oh game I've liked since mario 64, and I didn't even have a game cube.

galaxy

I'm with you user. Though I liked the original on GBC
Sunshine blew my mind as a kid. Especially when I figured out you could use the jet attachment underwater.

half of the game was the best 3d mario
the other half was the worst

I'd love another Mario game with a similar setting to Sunshine but the actual game design was pretty bad and doesn't deserve a sequel. Does anyone really want them to bring FLUDD back?

I'm pretty sure early Nintendo is 1990-2008, when they ruled over Sony and Microsoft
Zoomer much?

Retard no, PS1, PS2 and Xbox BTFO Nintendo at that time, early Nintendo was from 1889-1995

Hydrophobia

It was the sequel. Then it became the weaker odd point in a long run series of 3D mario games since mario 64. It was good on its own, but it wasn't a good continuation to mario 64 like people expected. Galaxy did that.

so you have no idea what you're talking about. okay zoom zoom, its my bad for even replying

Microsoft didn't enter the console race until 2002

Nintendo's been making consoles since 1985, early Nintendo is NES/SNES/N64 if not arguably just the first two

Nintendo wasn't on top of the market at any time from 1994-2004, their handhelds kept them going but each console until the Wii sold worse than the last, PS1 decisively knocked them off their pedestal and it took until the 1-2 punch of the DS and Wii to reclaim their throne

>overrated
People constantly trashed on these games, especially on release we had people who thought fludd was way too gimmicky and that ww's artstyle was dogshit

Galaxy was its own type of game, its not faithful at all to 64 if we're talking about gameplay. People liked Galaxy because it was pretty much a brand new generation of people, and the game was centered on waggling

The cope
Gamecube reigned supreme the whole generation, at least in my country
PC>Gamecube>PS2>box of shit
