>IPS
Soulless

GBA SP all the way, any other answer is the wrong answer
my personal favorites
>mario vs donkeykong
>metroid fusion
>wario land 4
>wario ware twisted
>dk king of swing

im so assblasted that they dropped the formula of mario vs. dk for the sequel. i don't want to fucking control lemmings, I wanna control mario

ags-101 mod or gtfo tbqh desu

Is there any way to hack the original DS to play romhacks off of an SD card or some shit? I know 3DS hacking is pretty well documented, but I can't find much for the original DS.

Ds hacking is just putting in an r4 card

i used an r4, there's no input for other kinds of sd cards besides the cartridges

Forgive my boomerness. Guess I have some tinkering to do this weekend.

Well my GBA was almost exclusively a Pokemon machine

>Pokemon Fire Red
>Pokemon Emerald
>Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team
>Mario Power Tennis
>The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap

My bread, the best model is the one I own which is pic related.
GBA SP AGS 101
The back light is even better than the other ags model. The micro is good and fucking aesthetic, but lacks backwards compatibility. Just get a GBA flashcart like me and you'll have every gba cart known to man. I even put all the gba video cartridges on it, and it gave me entertainment and shit to watch when I'd lose internet access for a day.
TOP 5 GBA games?
>Kingdom Hearts: COM
>Medal of Honor: Infiltrator
>Wario Ware Twisted
>DOOM 2
>Street Fighter Alpha 3
>Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Was close to putting: Pokemon emerald, Ultimate Spiderman, Wario Land 4, Minish cap, river city ransom, GTA and any mario game on that list

Thoughts on these?

What is the difference?

>Advanced Wars
>Fire Emblem
>Pokemon Emerald
>Metroid Fusion
>Kirby

If you have a DSi you can install TwilightMenu and play DS (and gba I think) ROMs without an r4.

This looks like someone tore a DS lite in half

How big is it? Is backwards compatible?

3DS

>no multiplayer or gamecube link adapting
Wrong

ips has brighter colors and backlight. ips has a larger viewing angle. ags 101 is a bit more sharp, and has a bit less lag, no screen tearing. Although, the screen tearing issue has been solved with ips v2, I've never noticed any lag with it.

SP is the definition of non-ergonomic designs. anything bigger than a childs hand makes it uncomfortable to hold, especially in games that use the shoulder buttons. Not to mention the terrible ghosting the 101 screen has

I just modded my original GBA with an IPS screen, and its far better. You get the ergonomic design of the GBA with an even better screen than the SP

If you have a fucked up unfixable ds light, these are pretty cool. Feels like a gba, but thinner and lighter.
it IS a ds lite

For me, it's the GBA SP.
>Advance Wars 1+2
>Wario Land 4
>FE 7+8
>Metroid Fusion
>Mario Kart: Super Circuit
I also played a bunch of GBC games on it at the time.

In a few years you might be old enough to play them.

Original GBA with backlight mod.

>audio output was in the upper part so no sound
heh

AGS-101 or this

Attached: 101.jpg (1629x793, 357.28K)

When was the last time you linked gba or used it with a gamecube? I'm not being pissy I'm genuinely curious.

I have an AGS-001 and it doesn't look that bad irl

>no sound
It still has a headphone jack, but no speakers is a deal breaker for me

Goodluck finding anyone holding on to decrepit hardware to use them.

There is a better ips panel out there now. Ags 101 have screen tearing issue.

consolizer

Attached: GBA consolizer.jpg (2048x1152, 290.29K)

Enjoy ghosting and less battery life than youd get with an IPSv2

I like my SP, but I wouldn't mind a modded original GBA.

>anything bigger than a childs hand makes it uncomfortable to hold
Unless you're giving it the death grip, I don't think so.

3DS is sadly on bottom of the list of nintendo consoles, it goes:

GBA orig/SP with IPS mod > GBA SP ags 101 > 3DS/DSi/DS < GBA SP regular > GBA

due to the higher res screens of the DS', and lack of scaling options, you either have blown up filtered (a good filter at least) or forced pixel perfect, but the pixel perfect is waaaay too small especially on the n3DS.

>Zero Mission
>Astro Boy
>Minish Cap
>Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure
>Rhythm Tengoku

Regarding the best way to play them, idk i played them on my DS Lite and now on my 3DS.

Has anyone tried these pearl finish cases?

is the gba player for gamecube now really expensive or something? who would buy this?

not him, but the consolizer outputs at a better resolution, and has more options. id rather just use my gameboy player, but for the autists out there, they have that
