He's one of the ex-Robins, Jason Todd, he gets killed and comes back to life very bitter towards Batman, he becomes Red Hood and starts killing bad guys with guns, Batman notices the murders but doesn't know who it is and so on.

I agree to a certain extent but in the eyes of the people as soon as you start killing people you're no longer a symbol of good, you're just a murderer with a sense of justice. There's a point in the comics where Damien tries to kill the bad guys instead of arresting them ''because it's easier'' and Batman scolds him saying ''You don't do it because it's easy. It's about doing what's right and that's the only reason you need''

The really baffling part is less Batman's actions and more that the Gotham DA never seeks the death penalty on these guys. Imagine being on a jury in the Joker's 6th trial for mass murder and atrocities, and the prosecutor is once again asking for life in prison.

Not him, but Red Hood was always the edgelord's Robin choice until Damian existed. As a NightwingCHAD I've always considered Red Hood fans as teenagers.

Does Gotham have the death penalty? I'd assume not since they never use it on their dime-a-dozen mass murderers. There should be a batman story where the joker final goes through death row, gets executed and Bruce Wayne is there to watch. There's some potential their with a good writer.
