Why is this game so much worse and less replayable than 3 and New Vegas?
Where did it all go wrong?
It is more repayable, and the world is vastly superior
Brother, this has been discussed a thousand times.
Nobody else reply to this shit.
STANDING
With every game they release, guys at Bethesda realise they can put even less effort in and retards will still eat it up. They kind of went overboard with 76 though
voiced protagonist
shitty story
underdeveloped and uninteresting factions
map starts you in the fucking corner of the world (which is covered in 1/3 water btw)
lack of player agency and choice
limited quest design with no internal consistency
Survival mode makes the game better than at least Fallout 3
This
No fast travel, nope thanks.
Who cares about any of this shit?
It is about the quality of the world. It is so densely packed with well thought out content. You make your own stories.
where dem skill checks at bruh? where dem meaningful decisions at cuh?
oh no no no
4 may be shit, but it’s better then 3. For Main game anyways, DLC wise 3 wins by far
It came out at the zenith of the open world sandbox crafting/survival game craze, so most of the focus went into that.
not enough Cait feet
>You make your own stories.
Yes
No
Yes (Question)
Yes (Sarcastic)
Almost every building in fallout 4 is handmade and contains its own well-thought out theme and story. And this is not even to mention the verticallity. Skyrim is filled with a whole lot of nothing, and what it does have is blatant copy-paste
Casualization
It's why they keep dumbing down RPG mechanics and got rid of real dialogue options
>I went to place
>I killed things in place
>I got thing from place and brought it back
yes such an amazing story the game tells it 100 times
>Almost every building in fallout 4 is handmade
Shit bait desssss~
"make your own stories" is some bullshit. The game is advertised as having side quests and a main quests, I expect some effort.
I just like how people are OK with the buggy pieces of shit Bethesda usually releases because of memes.
Okay but which game is best when you factor in mods?
If you do not read the terminals or other such content, that is on you. Each building is absolutely riddled with narrative elements as you proceed through. Every place tells a story about life before the war, or something that happened as a product of the world.
It is, faggot.
Go play the Witcher or some other shit. These games are about world-building.
What do you think the side quests and character writing are partly for dumbass? That's literally a part of world building.
Either, Bethesda ruined the world building of Fallout starting with 3. They completely misunderstood BoS, tack on Super Mutants everywhere, etc, etc.
play the same faction storyline 3 times because the others are pretty much the same
Nah, that's all story shit.
Who cares?
you cant really have builds in f4.
all playthrought lead to about the same result.
Correction...
Your builds really only affect how you approach combat. Narrative wise, you’re always a military-man/lawyer who lost his/her son.
I’m rpg’s, combat really only goes so far. Dialogue is where the player can really define their character and Bethesda really fucked this up by making the protagonist voiced
These big guys get it
As much as they fucked that up (and considering Bethesda inexperience with multiple endings), I thought they still did a pretty good job with the factions.
Having the BoS ambush both the Institute and the Railroad at Bunker Hill was fun as hell
OMG THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO MUCH THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FINDING THINGS I AGREE WITH ON Zig Forums IS ALL I LIVE FOR NOW!!!!!
THE ADDICTION FROTHS ME SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!
THE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FUCKING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fallout 4 is barely even a rpg.
Games are getting more and more streamlined by the year.
>These games are about world-building.
True enough, but I found the worldbuilding in 4 particularly lacking. Locale is boringly dry, quickly peddling existing concepts like the Power Armor, quirky portable nukes and FEV in the backbone of the game. Not that I have a problem with them being present, but it's all there is since they do little to support the original concepts presented: Minutemen are a veritable non-faction and radiant quest sink, Institute is Big MT-lite with delusions of morality, and the Railroad is too dumb to live.
Anyway despite having all the same components, I honestly think 76 had better worldbuilding than Fallout 4. Sad to say it's the only thing it did right.
The shooting felt like Far Cry, right?
