But Im sure that if you have Patho2 as one of your fav games of all time, you have the necessary iq to understand rain world. Just be careful, its a pretty difficult game

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. I cant bring myself to defend sonic, but shadow, while a deeply flawed game, had its own charm. Plus i guess it depends on how old you were when it came out, i remember getting it for christmas, and playing through every possible route within a few days, it wasnt a terrible game, which is basically a compliment when it comes to the sonic franchise

I liked the story and setting of Sonic mostly, it wowed me as a kid. As for Shadow, I preferred the slippery controls because it made me feel like I was going faster and I was already used to the style you control Shadow in with SA2. Same thing with the story for that game too, convoluted but I liked the fact it tried to be something more fleshed out and serious. As a kid I appreciated that it didn't try to be terribly kiddish while still being appealing, if that makes sense?
I guess that's it for both desu, I'd play other games and feel that they treated me like I was young and retarded sometimes and those two went over my head a bit and seemed sort of adult-ish, if it makes sense. It's pretty autistic but I hope I get the point I'm trying to make across.

Sweet, I'll pick it up next sale. I've been on the fence about it for a while since it seems like one of those games that's just mechanics and nothing else. But since you and OP are saying the appeal is similar to Pathologic, I gotta at least give it a shot.
I haven't been able to get into Outer Wilds yet. I was getting immersed in the exploration or tinkering around with the puzzles and then get annoyed when my dude starts running out of oxygen.
