This game sucks balls. Why do devs seem so obsessed these days with shoving Souls-like game design elements into games that don’t fit them?

They’re not evil, they work great in plenty of other games. They just don’t work in this one.

Played the game for 15 minutes and it felt like a janky shitfest. Idk how people like it.

To me it just felt generic, at least in gameplay.

That sorta sucks. There's a bunch of easter eggs in the game, and cool shit, but that's my only quirk with the game is that it just requires you to do multiple re-runs of the same area for different weapons/mods/fight different bosses/get different quests.

I actually thought it worked surprisingly well.
I really hope they take another stab at the ideas they had here.
A Remnant 2 with just more everything and more mechanics heavy bosses/less add spam bosses could be awesome.

The janky dodging and waves of adds during boss fights make it feel like shit whenever you actually have to maneuver. The guns are pretty fun though. For me, the worst part of the game is the boring hallway generated level designs

My first impression was it being pretty generic but I started to really like it, pretty sure im almost done with main campaign now.

Tried it out during the free EGS giveaway and I've already put 80 hours into it. Enjoyed it a lot despite immense gripes like the add spam boss design and general buggyness.

Beam rifle started to feel boring for me after using it too much. I wanna use something else but im not sure what would compliment a tanky build well.

I enjoyed this game a lot with friends

The king was a pushover, the butterflies actually killed my friends when we fought them.

Pretty good. The mods, trinkets and guns its adds are fun to mess around with. Swamps of Corsus's map feels like a retread though and there's less bang for your buck if you're not interested in the Survival Mode.

Actually just uninstalled it.
Got annoyed with the Harrow
Too many ads, far too many.
You can tell they put them in there to make you waste ammo and more often than not, be reloading when the boss actually turns up.

Harrow also has this triple slash things which the roll does fuck all to get out of

Souls' elements are okay in itself. Remnant is shit mainly because it's half-baked. Random generated levels are incredibly boring. Story and characters are uninteresting and the whole final location+boss was asspulled out of nowhere.

I agree that the stories and characters weren't interesting but Ward 17 was talked about both in the main story and the optional lore.

Yeah, a big part of the appeal of "Souls-like" games is the handcrafted level design and you only sort of see glimpses of that in the game through the secrets and some static levels.

They've kinda fucked up making this city as the first world. It's bland as fuck. Swamp and desert was more interesting.

Nah, this location was hinted during the game multiple times. It's just that several completely different worlds can smear everything.
Final boss was bad because he introduces mechanics that weren't used anywhere in the game before and you can get fucked if you didn't bring something with very high DPS.
