Ghost of Tsushima is one of the best games of all time.
Ghost of Tsushima is one of the best games of all time
it's 5/10 ubishit desu
Why?
>Incredible combat system with an overwhelming amount of choice and style
>Amazing story with a great supporting cast and a compelling friction between opposing philosophies as the driving force
>Absolutely beautiful and memorable, you can tell a lot of love and thought went into creating the world
No. It's good at what it does but it's all been done before
damn son that looks like garbage
wtf are those graphics lmao
my shit isn't even on full settings for rdr2 and it looks better
Yoooo!
>when your game is so mediocre you have to bait to start discussion
is it? I was excited for it but then i saw gameplay videos and the combat looks pretty bad
like this
>bamham
>good
What the fuck is wrong with you people
I guess if you're a zoomer who's barely been alive long enough to try most games
>Gameplay
While the ai is admittedly a little dense, the stealth mechanics are very fluid and there's a lot of options here. The real meat though is in the swordplay, 4 different stances that really feel completely different. Total freedom to string any style into any other, any ninja tools into the middle of a combo, you can switch seamlessly from throwing down smoke bombs for stealth kills into jumping overhead skullbreakers where the sword actually gets stuck in the body and you see Jin have to yank it out. It's not the kind of game that will have you dying 50 times in every new area, but it's still plenty of challenge to make your efforts feel worthwhile. There's so much equipment and so many tools you could do multiple playthroughs and still never get bored of using it all.
>Visuals
Absolutely breathtaking. Not the most lifelike looking game on the PS4, but certainly the most pleasant to look at. I constantly found myself stopping to admire the scenery, everything is laid out so thoughtfully. You can play through the entire game only glancing at your map every hour or so because there's so many distinct waypoints in the world that you quickly get the lay of the land and feel like you're in an actual real place. The draw distance is insane, I can see kilometres in the distance from a high enough point.
>Music
Some real bangers in there, they save the best for last but there's a lot of high points in the story where they bust out an absolute tune. The overworld is accompanied by flutes and subtle string instruments, it doesn't get in your way, it's pleasant like a little trickling stream.
>Plot
It starts off pretty bog standard but when it gets into gear you'll experience a truly heart rending tale of an uncle and nephew who are more like father and son. The war that drives them along seperate paths. The rift created by their disagreement over the acceptable philosophy to employ to expel an invading force. You'll cry like a bitch by the end.
>like this
That's a charged attack combo that stunlocks enemies, it's purely for style and requires timing to execute. If you just mash buttons you'll get your shit pushed in.
I'm going to assume whoever recorded that knows how stupid it looks.
RDRII is so dull and boring looking. I could look out my window and see that view.
It looks cool as fuck, why are you so determined to shit on a game you haven't played? Stop being a fanboy and just buy a PS4 and play it.
Cope shitch tranny
Tell me your favorite video games, your top ten.
I thought the outfit variety was good at the start, but nooo they need way more outfits, way more varients too.
It's not bait. I genuinely believe it's one of the best games ever made.
I'm 27 and played more games in my life than you probably have you salty poorfag.
Play the game and mash attack, see how far you get.
i hope it plays better than it looks
ill probably pick it up once it hits $20
In no particular order:
>Ghost of Tsushima
>Metal Gear Solid 3
>Vagrant Story
>Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
>Hotel Dusk
>Ico
>Gravity Rush
>Shinobido 2
>Zelda Wind Waker
>Dragons Dogma
What's your favorite class in Dragon's Dogma? That will settle the matter.
>i hope it plays better than it looks
Why are you pretending that webm looks bad?
The animation is fluid, the enemy reacts appropriately, it's gamey enough to feel good but has enough gore and meatiness to it to feel like you're actually hacking through flesh when you land a killing blow. It's really fucking sad how hard you're trying to make yourself believe it's bad combat when it's blatantly not.
Strider/Assassin
>>Ico
BASED
Alright. You're bretty gud. I'll give Tsushima shot.
>Why are you pretending that webm looks bad?
im not pretending, i think it looks like shit. why are you letting a strangers opinion upset you?
this webm and other gameplay i have seen look too much like Assasins creed combat where everything feels scripted
Thats why i hope it feels better to play than it looks
I like both it and Shadow of the Colossus a lot but Ico edges it out for me. It's a lot more focused of a game, you can tell the director of the game really had his hand in everything. He did all the animation himself, all the art design, and a ton of other shit too. He said he would've made the whole game alone if it was physically possible with the time and budget constraints.
>why are you letting a strangers opinion upset you?
I'm not, I'm just pointing out your retardation. What do you want to see? People getting their shit pushed in? Would that make you feel less insecure?
>i have seen look too much like Assasins creed combat where everything feels scripted
It's called animation and everything has it, even your precious Dark Souls.
Not even the best game by suckerpunch let alone best in the world
Shut your nintenigger mouth up you faggot. Go back to your 3 year old exclusives you constantly jerk off.
Second Son was god awful, were the other Infamous games better? Sly Cooper series was fun.
Based
Second Son was great, but yes the first two were better.
Sly 2 is the best
