Ranged DPS will sometimes run next to or ahead of the tank and pull, drawing the enemies off to the side and forcing the tank to veer off course to grab them with his AoE. If they're staggered (because the DPS is a retard) the AoE can miss one and suddenly you have an enemy ungrabbed in the vicinity of the back-line characters, forcing the tank to stop entirely to grab it. It does nothing but slow the tank down and sate the ADHD-riddled DPS' need to prematurely push buttons because they aren't good enough for the other roles.

I fucking wish ranged DPS would always do that.
Lazy fucks always wait for the last mob to die unless I run around pulling enemies myself.
If they can do ranged AoE pulls to prevent HoT aggro from chain pulls all the better.
Pussy ass tanks and bitchy healers can go fuck themselves in every case imaginable.

For good tanks, it's usually not an issue, you know right where your AOE aggro ability ends and can pick up the entire pack in one swing, but the times where it doesn't work because your positioning was thrown off it gets very annoying because you have to slow down and possibly lose Sprint before hitting the wall.

Unlike most are conditioned to believe, tank and leader are two different roles..
I had this sprout tank in tamtara with had no idea where to go, so I just told them to follow. I would run ahead and sometimes pull, he'd peel off and aoe stuff down, ending in a timely run.
Most tanks feel personally attacked once their presumed "leader" role is challenged.

This gay drama is why I don't play "MMO raids"-style content in any game unless it's with my friends.
This speedrunner/elitist mentality also has also spread to other co-op games like MHW & Vermintide -- and I often find myself putting people into their place (kindly at first) or kicking them. I can't stand selfish players who won't work together in cooperative environment.
