Will the combat be like Dark Souls/Bloodborne or like Sekiro? If it's like Sekiro I won't even gonna bother with this game.
Will the combat be like Dark Souls/Bloodborne or like Sekiro...
I'm already very hesitant to care about Elden Ring due to the open world meme and GRRM's involvement.
I hated Sekiro's posture system and if they use it on Elden Ring it will be a pass for me.
It's my most anticipated game. I'm kinda hyped.
>I hated Sekiro's posture system and if they use it on Elden Ring it will be a pass for me.
why do you hate it?
I love it
filtered, removal of stamina is a big step forward for souls combat
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH
.
.
Elden Ring in less than two days...
Since gurrm is involved I doubt it's even gonna come out in the first place.
yep, agree with your post 100%.
go play ninja gaiden then and leave souls fans alone.
he already did his part, rest is with miyazaki.
>Will the combat be like Dark Souls/Bloodborne or like Sekiro? If it's like Sekiro I won't even gonna bother with this game.
Are you asking us? How are we supposed to know? They did say they wanted to make it more RPG, but at the same time they talked about getting upgrades from bosses which can feel either Metroidish and limited choices or like the Nioh soul cores which would have more choices.
The posture system represents perfectly how limited Sekiro's combat is in regards to multiple enemies, since you're expected to keep the pressure on each of them to get the finisher. It's absolute garbage if you want to try any sort of encounter variety aside from enemy variety.
Then why the fuck they don't release a god damn fucking bitchy bomb stupid jerk off trailer. I'M GOING HOLLOW.
How the fuck could your most anticipated game not be Cyberpunk. Are you retarded?
Dark Souls. It will be faster than DaS but don't really expect DaS3 or BB speed.
>open world meme
It's the best edition to the series since original Dark Souls tough. This series needed to go this way more than anything else. Especially definitely not BB/DaS3 way.
>Will the combat be like Dark Souls/Bloodborne or like Sekiro
who knows
>If it's like Sekiro I won't even gonna bother with this game.
okay?
>edition
Fuck autocorrect. Addition*
I do
Nice bait shitpost kun. Kill yourself
>it's another OP thinks Zig Forums magically knows things nobody else does episode
As fast as Sekiro probably
Sekiro hate thread?
I wanted to love it, and for the most part I did. Except playing it. It never clicked for me, even at the end. And I wasn't even "filtered", some bosses took more than others but nothing Kos levels of tilt
Omnipotent which was only one of two credible Fromsoft leaker of past 10 years said himself Elden Ring will use Dark Souls combat rather than Sekiro
Because it makes attacking useless, forces the game to be nothing but a parryfest and I hate parrying.
Meanwhile The Surge 2 reworked entirely its parry system and a lot of implants give you different bonuses and boons when you parry successfully, and still it allowed the game to be perfectly playable without parrying (I'm on my NG+ playthrough right now and I've never used the parry).
The last thing Souls needs is you riding a horse for 15 minutes through an empty world so you can find the next NPC for your current main story quest.
I don't really care about the speed, just no posture shit, no obligatory parrying and not many gimmick moves and stuff. Simple is the best. Innovate with the bosses themselves, not make everything as complex and hard as possible.
It's called starting a discussion. The thread exists so we can talk about what we expect from the game and such. It's not a question to be answered literally. Can't believe I have to explain something so simple.
I don't know if I was filtered, there was a couple of bosses I couldn't beat, but there was still areas to explore. I end up giving up because it just wasn't fun.
I think miyazaki knows better than that
It will be like Elden Ring.
>Still no new trailer or info
It's that fat fuck George's fault isn't it?
I played Sekiro twice and gave up on the final boss both times.
I just don't have the patiency and eye-hand coordination to parry 70 to 80 times.
Nah.
The open world concept is like the random loot system: it's implicitly flawed and there is no way to get a good game out of it.
>The last thing Souls needs is you riding a horse for 15 minutes through an empty world
unironically that's what Souls games needs imo. Exploration were always best part of these games. Not R1/Circle spam combat. Also have faith in Miyazaki. He probably won't make an Ubisoft game you know that right?
Hesitation is defeat
>GRRM's involvement
why? he's great. i doubt you've read any of his work. i doubt you've read ANY book for that matter.
imagine actually believing this
People like to beat that dead horse meme about ''It's delayed because GRR didn't finished his work''.
Shadow of the Colossus is greatest game ever made and it's completely open world. More like you haven't played any good games in your life?
Exactly, I really can't imagine what an open world could add to a series known for its tight and memorable level design. Even the interconnected world thing is lame to me (other than DS1, because DS1 is special). What would DS2, DS3, BB and Sekiro lose if they were all like Demon's Souls? In my opinion not much.
Lol, I don't know how close I was to the ending, but it makes me glad that I didn't waste that much time. He sounds like a massive pain in the ass.
