(2/2) Also Gen 3 was the last time where the starters were truly ambigous. Treecko wasn't exactly a tree frog and you couldn't tell what the fuck Mudkip was. Torchic also had a bit more than just being a bird going on with it.
Whereas Gen 4 was CARTOON TURTLE, CARTOON MONKEY, and CARTOON PENGUIN. Gen 5 was CARTOON SNAKE, CARTOON PIG, CARTOON OTTER and so forth.
