Unironically the best open world game this gen and I say this as a PCfag

*weeaboo, meant to say weeaboo

PC doesn't exactly have that many open world games.

Or games for that matter

It is easily one of the best in the genre. I loved everything about it. The story had a lot of very moving moments. Can't wait for the sequel, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since I beat it and I want more.

I refuse to believe anyone who like this game is older than 15

24 year old boomer and I like the game

it was alright, doesn't come close to botw and rdr2 obviously

BotW was better. Nice try though.

I'm 31 and it was 10/10. Cope and seethe.

ghost of tsushima made me sell my pc for a ps4 pro

>botw

Yikes. That game was complete dogshit and wasn't Zelda.

JIN YOU HONOR IS LOW WATCH THAT

Agree. Though the bar has been pretty fucking low this whole gen. Bunch of repetitive ubishit. Assassin's Creed is a dumpster fire.

>lose to a few of Kojiro’s henchmen a few times
>beat him first try
Wtf

Literally how? I beat the duels leading up to him just fine but then died to him about 20 times.

It's the perfect open world game. Respects your time, streamlined exploration, GOAT artstyle, fun serviceable gameplay, few collectibles most of which are cosmetics.
That being said other than the artstyle its pretty forgettable especially because its an open world game. The enemies are laughable and there isnt even any boss variety.

Not even close compard to Witcher.

I don't know, it looks like any other modern open world AAA title to me.
Sell me on it.
I liked Days Gone for reference.

PCfag here as well, GoT is easily a 9/10 in my books.
Content could be more varied, the sidequests aren't exactly inspired and AI is kinda weak if you're a stealth kinda guy (which I am) but all is forgiven.
Exploration was great, combat felt good (the fucking stance popup messages can go fuck themselves, I hope the devs remove them in a patch), the Ghost weapons were extremely satisfying to use since on Hard the enemies can fuck your shit up pretty fast if you're not careful. Great appearance customization, Ghost and Kensei Armor a best.
Chose Spare, fuck honor and "honouring his wishes".

It has as much soul, if not more, than Days Gone. Combat is excellent, the world is fun to explore, and the story is very good. You will like it, especially if you like samurai.

daily thread for your forgotten game huh

>Combat is excellent
dude parry spam lmao

I still can't believe some people beat this in 30 hours.
I'm 122 hours in and still on Chapter 8.

I donno I was very surprised desu. At least two of his guys took me like 5+ tries

It's very immersive without being hyperealistic at all. In fact its one of the most immersive games out there. The colourpallet and world are insane. Ive never used photomode before this game.

>Unironically the best open world game this gen
>That shit foliage and draw distance
Ahahahahhaa

Attached: 1593171564800m.jpg (1024x576, 105.82K)

I played on Hard and walked into the first Khan duel in Act 3 with low health and no Resolve left.
I think it took me 30 fucking tries.
I'm bad at vidya.

Except it's not like that at all? Literally git gud.

Guess I'll pick it up.
How long is it btw? For completionists.

This boring fotm tech demo is not a game

Not only does Ghost of Tsushima look miles better than RDR2 but it's also an actual game.

Death Stranding was awful. Get the fuck out of here.

>mist in the fucking clear day and filters to cover draw distance
>those textures
Embarassing

Attached: maxresdefault (2).jpg (1280x720, 151.75K)

Low resolve to start a duel is hard for anybody desu

Story is long enough Idk like 15 hours and 40 hours to complete the world

Probably about 50-60 hours. I platinumed it yesterday, it's pretty long if you do everything.

Lakes mist in the morning you tard

Loool
Git gud faggot
Imagine parrying

This game has nothing over RDR2, TW3 and BotW. Sucker Punch is really living up to the first part of their name.

>dude parry spam lmao
>get DOSHO'd
>get hit with an unblockable
>get dogged
>get flash'd
Did you play the game or just watch a combat compilation on jewtube?

RDR2 is all polish no thought

Rdr2 doesn't look as good which is something I fail to understand
I wish we could discuss this but people always seethe at this fact

It has better gameplay than all three of those games, cope

I’m a big Zelda guy but botw is a meme, it’s both a worse open world game and a worse game overall than GoT

RDR2 is the only good game you even mentioned. BotW and TW3 are both complete and utter dogshit.

>miles better than RDR2
Get the shit out your eyes. Show me Jin with more detailed, random battle damage than this.

Attached: IMG_20200331_083344.jpg (1920x1080, 259.96K)

What the fuck does RDR2 have over Ghost of Tsushima, this is the better question. Not better gameplay, that's for fucking sure.
>TW3
Surely you jest. The combat gets old after the first fucking hour of the game.

it's literally the same as any other open world game this gen, what are you talking about?
it does something cool and then repeats it ad nauseam until it starts being annoying, just take the fucking fox shrines for example. first time it happens it's sort of magical but by the 5th time i'd be surprised if there's anyone who doesn't sigh on every single subsequent discovered fox den

Calling BotW a Zelda game at all is frankly a stretch. It has more in common with early access survival shovelware on Steam like Rust or Ark than Zelda.

>relaxing in your backyard on a nice day
>suddenly hear DOSHO, DOSHO
What do you do

i honestly can't believe how fucking ugly the act 3 area looked. how is that even possible in a world after HZD expansion snow and GoW snow?
"because it's open world" can't be an argument since HZDs expansion was open world too.

If you're gonna focus on meaningless details then feel free to fuck off. The background in the image you posted is blurred the fuck out and I can still see the hideous ground textures.
>MUH BATTLE DAMAGE
And Ghost of Tsushima has a much better katana sheath textures than RDR2 - that doesn't fucking prove anything. Get the shit out of your eyes and what's left of your fucking brain, mongoloid.

Not on pc dont care

>jacket texture
>satchel texture
>knife texture
is this supposed to look good or something?

>more foxlet whining
Then just ignore them you brainlet. More charms for me

The atmosphere of area 3 was top tier for me. Snow areas are shit in general but they really pulled off that black and white colour pallet overcast and snow make irl.

Attached: PS_Messages_20200721_052448.jpg (1920x1080, 363.35K)

>get the charm that drops more loot when you assassinate enemies
AHAHAHAHAHA GET FUCKED MONGOLS I'M NEVER RUNNING OUT OF KUNAI EVER AGAIN

Yeah, agreed. I honestly don't get the big deal about this game. There's fun to be had for sure, but so much of the content is repetitive as fuck. It has all the worst of the map clearing elements of Ubi open world games, yet people act like it's so different.
I think mostly, people are holding this game up because of the time it came out. Everyone shit all over TLOU2 and then rallied around GOT when it arrived not long after. GoT embraces the fact that it's a video game much moreso than Last of Us, so it gets much more love than it might have otherwise.

>If you're gonna focus on meaningless details
Let's shows horses off then, clothes, animations, lighting, skyboxes and physics. You name it. I'm all ears.

Attached: IMG_20200305_070159.jpg (1610x2012, 616.65K)

I beat Kojiro completely wasted off sake on lethal mode. Granted it took me several tries but I did it

Don't bother with these delusional samefags.
They think their sushi game is top tier when it's just bamham combat and ubishit open world gameplay.

Attached: Red Dead Redemption II Screenshot 2019.12.16 - 10.18.48.88.png (1920x1080, 2.41M)

Its great, but kinda overrated. It has a lot of the same repetitive tasks as other open-world games. A lot of the combat is mashing triangle with the right stance equipped. The enemy ai is trash making stealth gameplay boring.

I for the most part avoid open world games but I picked it up for the setting and samurai shit and I’ve liked it

It wasn't though, it actually looked pretty nice. And for a completely snowy area somehow also managed to have plenty of variety in locations like the rest of the game. I love the completely burnt forest area, it's eerie. And the lighting with the snow looks nice.

Combat really needs lock on. I’m scratching my head at why that wasn’t implemented

Attached: Red Dead Redemption II Screenshot 2019.12.27 - 19.58.04.23.png (1920x1080, 3.54M)

...are you actually fucking blind?
Some of the shit on your pic is straight up PS2-era.
The clothing looks like shit too. Look up Kensei armour and compare it to whatever the fuck your gay cowboy is wearing.
>that absolutely fucking hideous foliage and ground
Were you ACTUALLY fucking talking shit about GoT's foliage? Are Rockstar niggers really that delusional?
Look at your own screenshot, nigger, it looks like trash.

But Tsushima isnt a photorealistic game retard.
Its SOVL is what makes it look 10 times better than Red Dead Corporate fotm 2: tech demo

Attached: BB16UzX0.jpeg.jpg (750x422, 42.34K)

Nice movie, faggot. Can't wait to auto-aim some more and then have every mission be a slow "ride along with some chucklefuck while listening to mundane dialogue".
Fucking hell, nu-Rockstar writers seem to think they're the new Tarantino or something.

what soul?

blurry textures?

overly saturated trees?

fog after 20 feet?

leaf particles blowing around?

lmao

>playing it with aim assist

no wonder your opinion is so trash, console nigger

Attached: Red Dead Redemption II Screenshot 2019.12.24 - 13.23.10.20.jpg (1920x1080, 1.91M)

>that clipping
OH NONONONO

all memes aside rdr2 is boring as shit

Definitely. I've pointed the stick to an enemy then had Jin attack in a different direction too many times.

Quest writing is dogshit.

The one time I thought I was in for something genuine and thought provoking was Hidden In Snow where villagers were killed and sold as slaves and covering it up and at first I thought that they'd culled themselves so that some could survive famine, which is something that villagers genuinely had to consider and in which case its not Jin's job to judge them as samurai are parasites on their labor.

But no it was fucking Mongols that made them do it because why have any nuance, and why do a quest that doesn't end with a fight against 12 incompetent Mongols?

how was it boring? did you just ride around on the horse and go 'waaah I'm not in constant action 24/7 I need more bing bing wahoo questie rewardies, MOMMY WHERE TENDIESSSS!!!'

Attached: Red Dead Redemption II Screenshot 2020.01.04 - 12.36.40.81.png (1920x1080, 3.01M)

>oh yes, another mission where you just follow an NPC and listen to Rockstar Dialogue™
>I sure am glad I'm not playing an actual video game

There is some instances of banditry. But I will admit I did Yuna’s quest last night and was wondering how this big unknown slave trafficking organization was operating for decades like 3min (in game time) from Jin’s village
