>Stealth game
>Punching someone so hard that they fall into unconsciousness counts as non-lethal
Stealth game
stealth is a terrible game mechanic
Why? but also I don’t care what you say because you are very wrong

nah i had a good time clubbing people in the head
Having KO'd enemies wake back up isn't fun and it makes KOing basically pointless or an effort in frustration. Having only a kill option only works in some games since it's pretty brutal to murder someone who you sneak up on.
If they survive, then technically it is nonlethal...
So is there a method of knocking someone out that runs no risk of permanent damage?
I imagine choking someone out is just as bad.
You're killing them non-lethally
>Don't kill someone
>non-lethal
it checks out
Oxytocin overdose
*unzips dick*
You can't do it effectively, if you try strangling someone it will take minutes before they fall unconscious and that's without mentioning the possible windpipe damage
Remember, non-lethal takedowns are always the most silent takedowns.
going non-lethal should add difficulty
if a non-lethal takedown permanently takes out enemies, then the difference is reduced to which button to push
this is my biggest gripe with Dishonored and the new Deus Ex games
They should just give the play some sort of knock out drug. You don't really need to explain it all that much either, just slap a fake brand name on it and say it's super safe thing science in this universe created.
Basically nil. Either you need to concuss them or choke them out for minutes
Thief is an odd example to name. It's easier to simply ignore enemies in that game.
Yeah, completely non-lethal!
>they wake up 1 minute later and continue their patrol
How do developers fix this though
why is he doing chest compressions
it's not lethal if you personally didn't kill them lmao
>Struggling with a guy and putting him in a chokehold is perfectly silent to the point even a guy 5 feet away won't hear it
>If you slash a dudes throat with your giant arm blade thing the whole building knows you did it
because it's most likely staged
A limited number of sedatives the player can use.
and how does this post of yours contradict what he said in the reply chain?
The best example of this is in Arkham Asylum where batman beats the prisoners unconscious and then lets them fall into a pit full of poison gas.
>Choke someone out
>Drag their body through the entire level back to the entrance holding onto only their neck
>Toss their bodies off a small ledge into a secluded dip
>Five minutes later they wake up
>"Huh, must've been the wind..."
>They walk back to their route
>stealth game
>dispatch omenemies by knocking them full of tranquilizer strong enough to take down an elephant
or maybe he's dumb
I feel bad about killing random soldiers in stealth games. They're probably decent guys just stuck working for some bad dudes. They got homes and families to support. Some American super soldier on roids with an endless arsenal is no match for some sickly third world grunts.
>choking someone out takes minutes
If you’re literally strangling a person, yeah.
A properly applied blood choke will render any human being unconscious in
but is he dead though
>do all that
>they wake up
>"I've got to stop drinking so much."
I thought you meant casual filter since it doesn't make sense as a pleb filter. Plebs love Theif.
>shoot barrel
>deaths by its explosion doesn't count as your kills
>Knock out a guard, sneak into a base and steal secret documents
>Commander of the base finds out the documents were stolen and finds the guard on duty and has him executed
>His death is counted on your kills
>stealth game
>american character calls you a haggis head
>character has a no kill code
>swings manhole covers into the side of enemies’ heads at 100mph
Huh
>put guard down with sleep poison
>he has a nightmare
>lose karma
