It's fine if it's closer to the initial design, I just personally don't like the "smug" and "cool" design. It feels like they're doing another Sonic design change if that makes sense. Again though, they can keep the design as long as they fix the gameplay issues which are a bigger deal.

It's closer to Wile E Coyote really. Big hairy cheeks and the eye shape reminded me of Chuck Jones drawings. Animaniacs is based on Looney tunes so Crash can use the same influences to get it's cartoon style.

I agree that Zembillas' Crash lacked that but as far as reinterpretations go, going with Looney tunes style of designs still feels on-brand for Crash. cartoony fur on cheeks and elbows like Chuck Jones still feels more Crash than just slapping on a fur shader.

Agree to disagree then. Any pic of final Crash looks pretty out of place in Looney Tunes. Will Wombat was much more in line with that but he was a different character design entirely and not what people fell in love with.

Crash's final design ended up with a completely different face desu. His nose continues from his face instead of being a separate shape, and his in-game models always had a smaller head than the way Zembillas draws crash.
