boo!

It's definitely a scary game, but I think RE2 remake wins it at this point.

Its the only remotely scary RE game and even then its not that scary.

The general atmosphere was scary.
2 makes me anxious but not scared, especially with mr x

RE2 Remake isn't scary, just tedious
The immersion of playing 7 with a VR set is the only way to get spooked

First half definitely, falls apart pretty quickly once you get away from the house. RE2 was scary but only if you were the right age when it released.

Yes. Wanna know why?
It’s in first person.
No third person horror games are genuinely scary.
Not bait, I genuinely feel that way

i never thought about it but yeah, it definitely is the scariest one

i gotta replay this shit

None of the resident evil games are scary

I want her to give me a spooky blow job

RE1 sacred me more than 7, but I was a child when I first played it. In adult life I'd probably say REvelations 1 and 2 were scarier But that's more of because of enemies that could actually threaten you like that MAAAYYYY DAAAAY creature. In terms of overall atmosphere type horror? I'd probably still give it to RE1 perhaps REmake 1. It just has a certain atmosphere and eeriness that I find lacking in 7, but that isn't helped by Jack doing doughnuts in the garage then having a chainsaw fight with him. Special mention to the RE2 door scene as well, man that fucked me up the first time it happened.

No

I don't care nigga i just don't
Please somebody slob on my knob

yes

The main problem I think with third person horror is it tries to be cinematic rather than immersive like first person.

I also find RE7 the scariest Resident Evil game as well but it's also hilarious at the same time.

The original RE3 is the scariest RE game because of Nemesis. It's also why the remake is such a disappointment.

It's pretty spooky in VR. Could be.

OP is a capcom rep, hey im nyraso. forreal. re7 is the scariest. then re1, then mhw. mhw monsters are reallly scary..... a guy you can outrun but can take 20 headshots isnt. ask anyone what theyd rather have chasing them. a chad nargacuga or a lame zombie. your question should be is ethan the most useless re protagonist? youd be surprised how "scary" ethanss game is because of it. except scary is the wrong word. lame is the right one, why? because mhw isnt scary even though the fucken dragons bus sized winged cougars, and firery also bus sized hell lions, and spikey monster that eats firery hell lions are all terrifying. theyre not supposed to be so its rarely brought up. if you want to scare people then make it all "seem" scary even if outside the cutscene theyre unstappable terminators

The first hour totally, but all the scary elements of the game are gone after the first fight with Jack.

Yeah, nah. None of them are really scary, maybe some parts in remake 2. If you want to get scared, go play Sonic 2006.

being chased down by jack is scarier

I would say yes but only because of Marguerite.Large Marge battle is amazing in the spooky factor in VR.the sound, her attacks, how weird she is...its top notch
