I'll never understand how there's people that unironically say they like the chao raising more than the main game of the Adventure series.
Is it all due to nostalgia? When I first played SA1 my first thought was "why would I waste my time with these when I can play the actual game". Only reason I sent time with it at all was to get all Adventure emblems.
Same here. Chao Garden is just a huge pace breaker for me.
At the time when I played SA1 tamagotchis and pokemon were all the rage so being able to do that in any form had massive appeal to me. It helped that you could put them on that memory card thing and raise their stats that way on the go just like a gameboy.

Dude, the chao garden had mini games sort like Fall Guys, the difference is that you look for the fucking screen for 1 to 5 minutes.
If ST made those playable as an option, added fruits, the robot capsule things for raising, toys, colors, eggs, etc as unlockables they would have a Chao Garden raising game that would make money, especially these days with mobile. But Sega is stupid and does jack shit
There are people that like raising things, like tamagotchi. And that was a bonus mode, if you didnt want to play it on SA2 you could always download a complete savefile in sega site to get Green Hill.
SA1's Chao Garden as meh though, especially in the original DC version.
