I doubt Part 2 will get to that scene. It would feel somewhat weird if they now upped the pacing to be more like the original game after they've established the whole narrative reason for it being different from the original.
My bet is either it ends when they reach Nibelheim and there's a Sephiroth showdown there or the cargo ship theory this user said, depending on if they pad it out a little or a lot.

In the new one he's hard to miss - you rescue him from the cops in Sector 7 and Cloud tries to kill him. From then on he keeps showing up and being stupid. Pink hair.
