Recent Tony Hawk games have been absolutely horrible. They've been ripping out tech and dumbing down the games making them really shitty to play in general.
These look to have the tech like reverts still in and generally looks like what a Tony Hawk game is supposed to look like. Time will tell if it actually lives up though.
