Just finished this game

I cannot describe how overrated it truly was. Aside from moment to moment combat, it is empty, boring and soulless

as long it's have japanese thing Zig Forums would love it.

>phone poster
>shitty cucked niggerjew opinion
Checks out.

OP is a filthy Mongolian.

No shit, it's a s*ny game

how do you know if someone is a phoneposter?

Truth is, I like what Sony’s done. But holy hell, every character and line of dialogue is so stilted and delivered exactly the same. The conversations between Yuna and Jin near the end were just laughable because no groundwork had been laid at all, I barely know her except for 2 lines of dialogue in each mission.

And the world is just empty. The few NPCs you can interact with have the EXACT same lines and side quests. At least AC Odyssey tried to pretend they were throwing in some variety.

haven't played it but phoneposter, so opinion discarded

too much copy pasted content. foxes taking you to shrines and the yellow birds get so old. you seem them 200 times. loses all magic. by act 3 you have mastered the combat and nothing is threat but it just. keeps. going. also half the warriors in the game are geriatric women, the side stories go on for like 20 hours, and the writing and voice acting is soooooo fuckig affected. oh and every side quest cutscene is filmed from 500 miles away with a telephoto to avoid animation work. overall, big mess

You didn't like it, Mongolian? I challenge you to a duel.

So it's a padded out story game?

You are special and better than everyone else. Your thoughts are too deep and complicated for plebs to understand and your taste transcends mere mortals.

I'm really happy to be blessed with the wisdom that is your opinion on a video game.

People praise this game hard because they want to stop think about TLOU2

I'm waiting until it's discounted to less than 30 bucks. It doesn't look that appealing at 60

I completed it a few days ago and have pretty much the same opinion.
The story presentation as absoloutly spot on.
The art style is amazing.
Everything else is bland. The combat is okay, but there is no real variety in it, so after clearing out Mongol camp #32 even the combat, which is the main selling point felt like a chore. Hunting for fex dens, hot springs, bamboo racks etc also felt as a chore. Although I did like the shrines, as they were all varied.
Then there are tons of gameplay issues, such as archer spamming dosho every 2 seconds. The AI being complete and utter garbage.
I could probably fill out two posts with shit that the game did bad, but the things it did good, it did really good, so I still give the game a 6/10 7/10 if I am feeling generous.

I got bored during second act.

Writing is horrendous capeshit

>jin: we should flee
>shimura: turn your back on the the enemy and you'll die with a sword in it

You can see here a microcosm of capeshit writing. "Let's think of some epic thing for someone to say and then set up everything around that."
Out of character and quite random for Jin to suddenly suggest fleeing. But they don't care about an interesting or sensical story. Just how can we get to the next epic quip"

>samurai game
>lets make a story
>durr what should it be about, what do we know about samurai
>durr le honor meme
>durr what conflict can we have
>durr honor vs not being honorable
SHIP IT

No one above the age of 12 with a functioning brain can think this is anything but shit writing

it sold like hotcakes during the summer without much advertisment and most people liked but hey, you are the only one who got it right. Commit seppuku.

In PC, all the files have names?

>mfw a shinobi doesn't know the difference between honor and victory.

>>shimura: turn your back on the the enemy and you'll die with a sword in it
>won't let you backstab enemies
What did he mean by this?

It's typical sucker punch open world game. They always was style over substance. Their games always had very bad copypaste mission design with doing same shit all over again, but on other hand top notch art style.

I exited the starting area and made it to the second island but ive lost all motivation to continue.
Do you think its worth pressing on or is the rest of the game more of the same?

Take it slow, its a relaxing game, not an exciting one. Drink some tea, write some poems. Stop when you get bored.

My advice is to ignore the side content and just to the main missions. Those are actually pretty good.
This game would have been much much better if it was linear instead of open world.

>is the rest of the game more of the same
Yes. I'm pretty sure I only have the final mission left and I still haven't felt like touching the game for like a week.

I'm still undecided between this or Nioh 2. I want Nioh 2 for the custom character builder and the Odachi, but I'm not sure I'm in the mood for a difficult souls-like.

Open world is a shit concept unless it's small so the writers and designers can actually put effort into all content. Instead they make these gigantic maps and they're forced to copypaste most of the missions

Challenge accepted

Yep, it's mediocrity personified.
