Harder than PCB IN MOF TD HSIFS and WBAWC. The hard, lunatic and extra stage is also exceptionally difficult. All extra stages between 7-10 are easier than Flandre, except perhaps Mokou herself.

The only track found outside of EoSD that I find exceptional is voyage 1970. EoSD had the most unique and inventive soundtrack, not all of them could be easily pinned to ZUN like the slew of songs that came a few games afterwards which often sound the same to me.

I adore Orin and a few others but the fanbase's detestable obession with EoSD and their wish to dethrone it as the fandom's choice in game is unrelenting and annoying. In my experience, all SAfags I have met are secondaries unable to finish a single game, but I assume that does not apply on Zig Forums.

What the fuck are you smoking? Maybe if you're talking just normal mode but a lunatic clear of eosd is upper-mid tier in difficulty, same with LNB clear and if you go full autismo eosd LNNN is considered one of the most difficult because of how many "fuck you, just die" moments the game has.

Agreed with this though, still a fun stage despite that.
The rest is more or less agreeable, shame there's only four shot types but I'm more or less okay with all of them except maybe for homing shot being kind of okay.

I was talking about Lunatic, LNN there are still IN Route A, LotLK and UFO that take the top anyway (not that I did any of these, I'm just judging by the patterns). Maybe I felt the game easier than the rest since it's not the the first Lunatic game I cleared and I played MarisaB, not sure.
I admit I'm an SAfag, I still think EoSD is not the best game and that title goes to IN for the playable characters, patterns, 2 final bosses, first introduction of spell practice, final spell attacks, not a single forgettable music track. EoSD has better characters and is legendary, probably the reason Touhou got this big and I'll always be grateful to it, but objectively I just find it worse than IN at least.

Lunatic EoSD can still give pause, you get 8 lives max making it one of the more stingier games for resources alongside MS and TD as well as a rank system making things more difficult for you. Some patterns like stage 4 books, megalith, vampire illusion, etc. can straight up wall you forcing you to take a hit or bomb; you also have sakuya's nons as well as killing doll making life hard for you.
I definitely wouldn't put it as one of the easiest lunatic clears, that's for sure considering what you have to work with, especially when the later games exist. The difficulty goes double if you're trying to LNB it, even making it to remi with 5 lives isn't a guaranteed clear.

One thing I will say though is that if your reflexes are really good, this might have influenced things to be easier for you since EoSD gameplay-wise is much more closer to the later PC-98 games in terms of dodging. The later games generally trend towards taking a more analytical "figure this out" approach to spellcards as opposed to balls-to-the-walls dodging based on reflexes where there isn't much to really solve.
