If you couldn’t hack it using the original control, then you suck

I've been here before you faggot.

>always remember this game and think about replaying it
>remember the cyberspace minigame
nope

>I've been here before you faggot.
I've been here all the time, double faggot.

Thoughts on the remake?

soulless

worthless shit

That is the definition of soulless if that's what that actually is. It needs to be a pogo stick thing with a suction cup/magnetic base, with an awkward melt animation.

You can set cyberspace to 0
I’m not sure what changes, but it should at least cut down on how long you spend in it

Meaningless buzzword. Also nobody has ever defended the hoppers before, you don't have to start now because 'new bad.'
How so?

im pretty sure instead of having a shared total time you can spend in all of cyberspace altogether, it resets to like 20 minutes each time you enter

And a hopper that hops would make more sense on a space station right? If the station ever loses or has no gravity, or if they're working from outside the station, then it makes more sense for them to be able to just hop and stick on different surfaces exploiting van der waal force or something, right?

They should have the og design for a variant or an easter egg at least.

what other games besides system shock 2 and deus ex allow total freedom when it comes to gameplay?

But it's literally a 1:1 remake, every light switch is in the same position even.

Prey 2017

>hopper
>does not hop

Well it's not called a Hopper anymore.

is that from Nightdive or that fan remake in Unity?
It's a better interpretation of the old design than that hopper imo.

VTMB
alpha protocol

These two are from the official remake

If you play this game, even for the first time, I whole heartedly recommend installing three mods that make the game slightly more interesting.

Prey Souls, Talos in the dark, and the interface customiser mod in order to get rid of the stupid notification popups.

well then it's not a 1:1 remake is it

Never play a game on your first playthrough with game altering mods.

I prefer to play this game and have beaten it with the classic controls
fite me

Anyone else only use mouselook to turn around? I fucking love controlling an FPS like an adventure game.

Didn't say it was but it's like a 99.9% remake. They're adding some new shit and making some of the stupid designs not stupid like the Hopper.

Before you get your panties in a bunch, webm related is a melee variant of the regular Cyborg Assassin. Both exist in the remake.

The maintenance deck gives me anxiety.

I'm just not a fan of how they're handling certain aspects of it.

It almost contradicts itself on some level because they're changing different aspects of the design to be more sensible or grounded in reality and yet they're keeping it heavily stylized in a different way from the og. I guess I feel like they're taking away some of the fun from the original somehow, and the whole thing feels like a bad compromise in their specific methods here.
Like they can drop all the stupid signposting and be more nuanced in the profiles.

That repair bot up there looks pretty good, though.
