X4 TERRAN DLC

Introducing, X4 : Cradle of humanity

>X4: Cradle of Humanity, the second big expansion for X4: Foundations, brings the X series back to Earth. While significantly increasing the size of the game's universe with new sectors, the expansion also welcomes two Terran factions to X4: Foundations, along with their economy, ships, weapons and stations. >New game-starts introduce the identity and political stance of the Terran factions, as well as give an alternative perspective on existing story developments in X4: Foundations.

>Play it on release
>spend 30 hours getting my base set up, time to start trading
>find out supply/demand was broken and in the time I played, everyone ran out of resources so no factories were producing anything anymore
>two years later
>decide to give it another try
>game crashes on the first random mission I undertake
welp

>Introducing a new terraforming gameplay feature, evolving the endgame
How's that going to work? Aren't planets just background scenery?

Does this game work an a ryzen 3400g apu without dropping visual fidelity?

I pirated this last year because I was thristy for a space sim and it felt like an early access game with empty stations and barebones content.

FUCK SQUIDNIGGERS

I can't believe you've done this to me.

No boron no play. Finish your game, Bernd.

still no ATF ships to be seen

Borons are boring

Great Supine Protoplasmic Invertebrate Jellies

Cause it kinda is. They released this game without a bunch of the races and their ships and thought people would be fine with it.
Doesn't matter if they add them now though, the game is fucked on a fundamental level and will never be as indepth as X3/TC/Albion.

all egosoft games are crap for the first 3 years

So they still haven't got back to the level of X3 then?
I stopped paying attention to X after Rebirth.

X3 is boring as fuck and the ui looks like it was made in 1990

Trading and station building in this is awful though, way worse than in the X3 offshots. And when are they finally getting rid of this pointless walking around on stations, does anybody even give a shit about it?

For whatever reason Egosoft is too stupid to just do X3 with better graphics and UI. It's mindboggling.

What really irks me about x3 is that you couldn't zoom in 3rd person all the way in some ships, like the panther raider or the macanna for example
It was actually really frustrating

Should I play this as a X noob?

They better keep Terran tech supremacy. That shit was kino.
>For whatever reason Egosoft is too stupid to just do X3 with better graphics and UI. It's mindboggling.
They literally remade the same game with better graphics and UI for a decade straight. X3:AP was the culmination of that.

Yes, but I'd wait until the dlc and 4.0 is out, they'll probably give a deal to get all content at a cheaper price

If you desire. Either it or 3 TC/AP are fine.

I once tried to play X series. Tried X3 and when I realized that Im supposed to trade and such for first several hours, I quit. Then I tried, much later, playing Rebirth but it had weird railroad feeling, I constantly let Im not having any freedom at all and it almost melted my i7 CPU for no reason at all.

No idea what people see in X series.

>No idea what people see in X series.
with rebirth? nothing
Reunion had a really slow start, Terran conflict was pretty fast and in Albion prelude you can quickly jump up to being a damn stock market millionaire

freedom to do whatever you want
for example in elite you're stuck being a pilot in small little ship
but in x games you can also be a pilot in a small little ship, OR you can man up, get 50 capital ships and destroy and conquer everything and everyone

Let me guess, said 60 Capital ships require around 100 hours of trading, killing all possible fun in the process?

I can hardly see any pros of this freedom if whole game is apparently 90% merchant simulator.

>as indepth as X3/TC/Albion
X3 was never remotely deep. No sector ownership changes or anything ever happening in the universe, you just take randomized missions that poof out of nothingness without any relation to what's actually happening in the game world, and all factions just spawn new ships and factories out of thin air. Or the broken stock market in AP that gives you risk free infinite money provided you buy stocks at minimal possible value. Once you get an M2 you quickly realize the universe is deep as a puddle because you can't actually affect anything in the game world, only go on random murder sprees that don't matter due to aforementioned infinite respawning, only to tank your relations with friendly factions for no benefit whatsoever. Hell, you can't even wipe out the always hostile factions.

Fleet management was also clunky as hell and a ridiculous waste of time and money because why the fuck would you spend hours upon hours setting up factory chains, produce ships, produce guns, make sure your convoys are protected etc. when you can't actually do anything meaningful with that big fleet and difficulty wise one player piloted M2 or a missile frigate is enough to level entire sectors on their own. Or you try to micromanage the hell out of battles from your neat M1 flagship, only for the AI to crash your several million dollarydoo fighters into static objects. Not to mention the mission level scaling ensures you never ever have to even bother with setting up your empire since the rewards scale up ridiculously high and all the timed missions become piss easy the moment you get your hands on a jump drive.

It's just grind for more money that can't actually be used on anything.

>I SHOULD GET EVERYTHING ON THE FIRST 10 HOURS REEEEEEEEEE
You clearly know jackshit if you think this is a merchant sim, no one fucking trades in this game, they set up automated traders to do all that shit while they have fun
And there are so many better ways to make money in the beginning, like combat missions and selling ships that you captured for massive gains (an M3 alone is worth over 3 million)

Mount&Dew require build up and is made 10x better than X series. Even simplified Starpoint Gemini Warlords is more fun to play than this mess.

X series is shit and I regret spending any money on it.

Nobody does that shit manually. Why waste your time doing it by yourself when you can just hire 30 captains to do it for you and get 30 times the profits with no player input

fucking this, a super easy way to get large amount of credits early on is to max out relationship with a faction, and keep doing return abandoned ship missions until you stumble upon an M7M you can sell for 50 million credit
Another easy way is to keep capturing and selling that unique black pirate Zeus, reward is around 90 million per capture

X3 economy was completely fucked

I never made any money on the stock market

>I have no argument
get fucked retard, plays around for 10 minutes and he thinks he knows everything about the game
get fucking filtered
