I come here, I read negative post, and I feel absolutely nothing. It's one of the best games of all time. The art, creativity, the music, the atmosphere, the simple story. All of it blends perfectly together. I already know I'm going to enjoy this game. I fucking own it already. I just want to see more.

To be perfectly honest, it's probably because of time zone.
If people keep telling other people not to buy it, that's what will shred the userbase, not region locking, especially considering each version is ALL of America, ALL of Europe and ALL of Japan.
Look I get people are annoyed about what SEEMS like a simple change, but they used and updated the original code for the game. It's not like the Silent Hill remaster where they lost the code and had to try and rebuild it from scratch. If they had taken that route they would have lost what people refer to as "soul".
People who didn't play it don't understand that it's expansion of a specific game mode where it imported data via memory card in a very specific manner. Most people shared a console so created characters in the same caravan which is impossible to do in an online mode.
In short, it's really a remaster for old fans, not for zoomers.

Then their still justified in those criticisms, having to be within the same area of a game to match-up and remake rooms every single time you go into a new dungeon is clunky design that wasn't present in the original titles.

Okay, it's all nice and all, but I don't wanna play dungeons with random strangers, I wanna play them with my friends who don't live in Europe.

That has no bearing on its online being implemented poorly.

Logistically, could they not have made it so that when you 'connect' to a host or something it literally just pops you into that person's game? Sure you would have to use their characters but that's not a big deal. Alternatively, set it up so that when you join the 'host' you go to a character creation screen. Character creation only takes a minute anyway since the only choice is race, appearance, and job. Hell, you could even let players save characters to their account.

I'll do you one better, I'm American, moved to the Europe a couple of years ago 75% of the friends I play games with are in the US.

I like baths, watching movies, and listening to music; alone. I'm not going to ask my friends to take a bath with me. With CC I didn't want to talk and play, I didn't want to coordinate or anything. I just wanted to listen to the music and get immersed. You act as though it was fear when really I preferred to play alone. Again, FF CC is like my bath time.

Yeah, given modern video game design, that's literally how basic co-op games everyone is familiar with like Minecraft or Terraria work. It doesn't feel unreasonable at all that people would expect Square Enix, with their amount of resources, to be able to reach what Notch programming in java alone was able to as an indie developer.

online only coop where only player 1 can earn/buy stuff and go to towns because only player 1's progress is saved. You have to re create your party every single dungeon because online is limited to dungeon only so you can't go to towns with friends.
Also long ass loading time, shit performance and unskipable cutscenes
