I genuinely have no idea how to feel about this. For the most part I’m worried cuz RE’s film adaptations are memes unto themselves and this one telling some “bold new story” about the hitherto unseen 2(?) Wesker babies fucking around Raccoon City (which we know is toast) but then ALSO going 10+ years into the future (1998+10=2008) which puts it around the time of RE5? Not to mention the earth’s population of living is apparently dwindling at that time. Is this going to actually be canon to the games? I know story in RE is really inconsistent in some areas but c’mon it was bad enough hanging up a 1/3rd of RE6 on Jakeass Wesker who also had no clue of existing prior to the game’s launch, but now you’re saying that Wesker has two more twats he’s seeded? When will the madness end? I wonder if B. & J. Weaker are mentioned at all in the Lost in Nightmares files.

As much as I love RE I agree. It’s just one of those games that places an emphasis on player interaction/gameplay so I just don’t see how you could adapt any of it to film. You’ve basically gotten three options already (make something new using the game as a starting point i.e. the fucking Anderson movies, make something to compliment the games like the CGI ones, or try to directly adapt one of the more filmlike games like RE4 and good fucking luck with that). I just don’t see it happening.
