3090 will be $1500

>3090 will be $1500
>PSU another $600

And I still have to pick the rest of the components. Jesus Christ.

Attached: 2000 buks and i havent picked the rest of the components yet.jpg (1326x451, 197.19K)

>his current psu generates less than 850W

>NVIDIot's getting ripped off
What's the problem here?

... But why would you pick up a 3090?

Sounds like bullshit

Who really needs a RTX3090?

i got my 850w for €182 last month

0/10 bait
a decent 850w psu will cost you 150-200$

Who forces you to buy the beefiest consumer-level gpu on the market?
The only thing you'll use it for for the next 3 years is online dick-measuring

The 3090 will literally have 24GB of VRAM

Huge overkill and waste of money

>drop $1500 on a top-of-the-line card
>cheap out on the PSU
fucking genius move

Only a retard buys new GPUs the same year they release. You won't need anything this powerful for 5 more years at least.

>PSU another $600
>buying PSU for 600$
get a load of this guy

Remember when all the retards on this board and /g/ kept saying you'll never need more than 650W?

>Huge overkill
yeah watch devs become even more lazy and just dump all textures into vram. more lazy compression galore, expect 500gb+ installs by the end of the next gen

not our fault you're a braindead consoomer who need his epix modular branding

do componentlets really?

Next gen consoles will have 16GB RAM and VRAM combined so no need to worry about that.

Who are all you people on Zig Forums bitching about the 3090 like you had any intention of buying the top of the line in the first place.

>He buy cheap PSUs
Fucking idiot nigger. Besides anything lower than 1000W was already outdated 10 years ago.

>NOOOOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST ADVANCE TECHNOLOGY LIKE THAT
>NVIDIA BAD

Attached: 1561210603250.jpg (1080x1020, 190.81K)

>has to up the clocks in order to battle amd
>suddenly makes the 290x look like an efficient monster

so where are the trickle down 1080ti's?

Good, fuck Earth!

don't buy it OP, not worth it.
If you're building your first good pc try getting a secondhand 2080 when 3080 drops, lots of people will be selling their old hardware.
You'll get to build a cheaper PC that works just as well.

>Intel Graphics 620
what the fuck lmao, at that point a 100$ pc would be better

It's more about Jensen being scared shitless for his performance crown, otherwise you wouldn't be looking at a 400tdp+ 3 slot card.
6950XT was speculated to be 3% off ga102

also that article is full of shit, only the ga102 will require a 850w

Microcucks will pay anything for their slightly higher resolution and framerates. PC boys really are the ultimate consumers.

It's on every 8th gen notebook cpu. It's just the de-facto "eh I know this isn't a gaming laptop but let me see if there's something light on steam I can run"-gpu.

steam users aren't PC builders for the 99% of it, 1060 is a common prebuilt card

>NOOOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST RELEASE A 400W+ GPU

Attached: file.png (589x230, 234.35K)

I'll just skip PC upgrades next-gen. I'll just wait for a PS5 Pro, because these prices are getting fucking crazy.

Are you fucking retarded? You can buy 850W PSU for less than 100$.

So what games are ya gonna play with that card? What are you having trouble running now that you'll need a 3090? Are you a video game developer or something? Do some 3D modeling by chance?

I thought we were out of the dark ages of pc hardware with the bitcoin meme dying, but fucking hell.

What's your point? 2080 Ti's can come in prebuilts and the 3090 will come in prebuilts too, and will cost a lot.

Say goodbye to your motherboard

Stupid, the 12pin is rated up to 600W, doesn't mean it's going to use it, just look at the 2080Ti with it's 2 8pin connectors.

show me a new $100 USD platinum rated 850w PSU

Well you don't technically "need" it.

1440p 144hz is the midrange standard in 2020 gaming, user, and in VR it's double because you render everything x2.

99% of people in the prebuilt market (majority of pc gamers) aren't gonna spend more than 1-1.5k

Some people are probably interested in 1440p & 4K at high fps. 2080 Ti will just barely get you above 60fps at 4K.

>require 850W for graphics card alone
doesn't that mean that you'd need more than 850W for the gpu+cpu+whatever?

lolno, retard, you can get a gold certified corsair 850w psu for like $100
even platinum certified psus are less than $200 and last a decade

I already have a 850W PSU, and I'm not even getting the 3090.

LITERALLY A HOUSEFIRE DEVICE

Yes, it's the worst possible time to buy a high-end GPU. Next-gen hasn't even begun yet. The RTX 2080 Ti is struggling with 60 FPS in CURRENT gen games at 4k. Just imagine next-gen, not counting the cross gen games like RE8.

Just get it on layaway

>$500 PSU
What in the ab solute fuck?
650W are literally $100 FULL MODULAR, no fucking way 850W are $500, at most they should be $200

*in Witcher 3, for example

You need a 3090 to compete with the PS5s advanced SSD technology that will deliver 120FPS 4K without a sweat
