No such thing as a cubie, just someone with taste. Stop trying to force your retarded buzzword.

Paper Mario is dead and replaced with a Tingle game wearing its skin

ttyd isn't even the highest selling game in the series

>game releases on platform that keeps breaking sales records breaks sales records
who cares? we've been over this, sales of switch games don't reflect the quality of the games

>Game series has bad reputation
>New game turns out to be good
>Word of mouth spreads and starts selling really well
>"Noooo the game is bad, it doesn't have partners or EXP, reeeeeeeeee"

TTYD is one of my favourite games ever, and I hated Sticker Star.
Trust me when I say that TOK is actually pretty decent.

It definetly needs some polish on the battle sistem, but it's such a good game, those sales are well deserved

The cubie meme will never take off.
TOK selling is only expected. There's nothing surprising or indicating it's a good game. Pokemon showed that basically anything sells on the Switch regardless of its relative quality in its series.
TOK is decent at best, which is a far cry from what the series used to be. And no, even fixing the battles wouldn't make it great.

>Trust me when I say that TOK is actually pretty decent.
It doesn't matter. A good portion of Zig Forums are mouth breathing, drooling retards, to jaded to ever think anything past TTYD is good, despite TOK getting a lot of positive feedback.

Really sad TOK threads can only live by baiting flamewars

Switch owners will buy fucking anything, user.

Yeah, we know. McDonald's has the best selling burger in the world so it's clearly the best one. There can't be other factors on my something sells well. It's 110% a reflection of a product's quality.

I played it. I had fun but it's a bad game. I am really sad they won't make another classic style game. Why do I still post in these threads you ask? I dunno. Catharsis, probably.

It’s a really good game, glad to hear it’s selling ok. Wish people here would give it a chance but that won’t be until the next one is announced.

Well when every attempt at making a honest thread gets de-railed by TTYD faggots, it's kind of hard to not.

>Food analogy.

There was no attempt at honest threads. The "TTYD" boogeyman is retarded. TOKfags are way more abrasive and looking for conflict. Most TTYDfags actually admit TOK is about decent, they just know it's far from what we used to have with this series and it's not a good direction for it.

>I had fun but it's a bad game.
Okay.

He's a cubelet who need to judge everything on what it isn't, rather than what it is.

not even, they will say ''I had fun but it is still a bad game, see

Those two qualities are fundamentally related, user.

Nice cherrypicking. You have dozens of people calling it somewhat decent but far from what we wanted.

I had fun with Far Cry 5, Detroit: Become Human, and Bioshock Infinite. My enjoyment doesn't make them good games.

>Those two qualities are fundamentally related, user.
It's an attitude you dummy, no need to get autistic here.

>m-muh autism
Nice way to show you're wrong, dumbass.

I just beat paper mario TTYD. Did I like it?

Cubie here, I love TOK.

How does someone end up like this?

No

Like i said there is an attitude, a way of looking at things. You can try to find things that the game is and appreciate what it is doing. Or you can focus on everything the game isn't and conclude it isn't good because of everything it's not. This isn't complicated.

Contrarians or zoomers.

Or maybe one can appreciate a game's quality for various reasons and not instantly conclude it's good just because they had some mild fun with it.

Or you can look at both, because they're fundamentally related, in order to give people a complete view of what the game offers and what it lacks.
