What were they thinking? Was it incompetence from the devs that lead to fucking up the multiplayer design, or was it the fault of managers above them in the company? I had grown tired of remasters long before this, but CC Remastered is an entire new level of shit.

>there's absolutely no incentive to play with others because only the host gets the goods
>post game dungeons are time gated and can't be done offline, so they can go down with the servers
>dlc weapons are stronger than previously end game gear
>dlc skins aren't visible in the overworld
I guess that sums up everything, I think.

The biggest problem is you can't join the same caravan as your friends, only dungeons. And to go to the next dungeon you have to disband the group and rejoin.
Story/myrrth progression is only recorded for the host.

It is complete ass. It'd be better to buy a Wii and hack it to play Gamecube games since it works better than the gamecube itself.

You can't play them offline. You HAVE to play online with people to do them.

I heard that what hard dungeons are available are rotating, and chosen by the server. Want to play a certain dungeon on Hard and it's not selected? Tough shit.

People were willing to forgive the dumpsterfire of the current online solution if it had couch co-op but it does not. It's unfathomable to me they would release it in such a state, knowingly full well, it would piss people off when the main multiplayer component doesn't work as it should for many people.

Even if you're the biggest PR spokesman or viral marketer shill (of which there are several here), you cannot deny all these issues would've been caught by peer reviewing or mock reviews. How in the ever loving Christ do you think the story/dungeon progression system as it is right now is OK for online play? It's ridiculous that many co op games have had this host/guest storyline issue fixed but SquareEnix the BIGGEST DUMBEST BUMBLING DUMBFUCK hasn't realized how this works in modern games today. You can't even deliver on the absolute bare minimum anymore, not with Final Fantasy ports or the Switch version of The World Ends With You.

Square said the new post game dungeons are so hard that you have to play with people. Solo is not possible to due the high difficulty. It's a load of fucking shit if you ask me. I doubt it's even that hard.

What went wrong? Mobile restrictions. Thats it. They had to put all their energy into making it a mobile game and nothing else got polished.

So it's not actually locked behind online multiplayer FORCING you to get PS+ or a subscription in order to play, they're just blowing hot air up everyone's ass?

The only platforms without the online taxman requirement are the PC and iPhone and Android phones. There is no PC release of Crystal Chronicles Demastered so your only choice is mobile if you don't wanna pay for online.
