4GB NV fix, Fallout Character Overhaul, NV Enhanced Camera (for visible body in first person), and a shader of your choice is all New Vegas needs too look ok.
Project Nevada, WAR and all other game changing mods is shit for Vasyans.
Do not install NVAC, it will make your PC deadfreeze whenever the game will try to crash.
Install them using through Nexus mod manager, it's piss easy.

They removed the NV videos probably because of copyright. Theres not much proof that leads to them removing it besides a few rumors that people there dislike NV, even though theyve added easter eggs and references to the game in games like 4 and 76. I know that Bethesda's "official mods", or the creation club or whatever, has some NV-themed gear like weapons and armor. I would say it's a case of some of the devs liking the superior game and willing to include references to it, while higher ups at corporate hate its mere existence. It's a constant reminder of their incompetence.

This is my mod load order. I'm sure it's not entirely optimized and there are some contradictions/redundancies, but I like it. The last flashlight mod isn't necessary since another lighting mod comes with pipboy light modifications - I was just trying it out. Also NVR is only needed if you have a lot of textures, and it also requires ini file modifications. Other than that there are two other types of mods - root folder and NVSE. My root folder stuff is the 4gb patcher and another part of NVR. The NVSE stuff is

I don't mods that massively change the experience like weather effects, removing the kino orange tang, major content expansions, etc. I prefer ones that improve stability, enhance the vanilla experience, and fix bugs. Although I couldn't resist some things like sprint and lighting overhauls.
I've never had a problem with NVAC, it just werks.
