I was retarded and bought a 750W when the same type at 850W was at the same price.

no because i dont plan to buy a 2000$ GPU

Nigger

You can still power the 3090, the reason they recommend 850W is to cater for people that have overkill builds, think 10900K, shitload of drives, RGB lighting, etc.

What is the point of a fully modular PSU when every mobo requires the 24-pin and almost all of them require the 8-pin?

850 watt likely only recommend for 3090, MAYBE 3080, I doubt any cards below 3080 will require 12 pin connector and even then it's possible the 3080 won't.

I got a 1250W for cheap years ago. Did a wattage test, it doesn't climb anywhere near that.

You can use aftermarket cables to rice your build.

why a new connector though?? what's wrong with two 6 pin or two 8 pin?

I have a high quality 550W PSU and I probably use like 300W at full load, so quite a stupid investment on my side.

Actually yes, because my smooth-brained 13 year old self wanted to run SLI when I built my first PC.

How so? If you're 300W full load, you've got 250W to spare.

I'm still with my 970 and very happy

>using aftermarket cables
>when there's no standardized pinout on PSU cables

There's aftermarket cables for specific PSUs.

>when there's no standardized pinout on PSU cables

but there is retard, Nvidia is trying to make up a new meme 12pin standard now

Corsair RM750x, gonna buy a cheap 2080ti on sale when the new cards drop and everyone tries to panic sell.

Already had a 1kw one for a while but with the current state of the economy I'm not buying a 2k dollar card any time soon to play video games.
My 1070ti will have to do.

Doesn't matter because games are dead

My pc runs 550 full load with a 290 watt 1080ti i zshoulzs be okay

Don't reply to posts you know nothing about.

I'm still using the Corsair GS700 power supply I put in my first build in 2012. Since then, I upgraded my overclocked i5 2500k to an i9-9900k and my Nvidia 570 to a 980ti.

I'm tempted to buy a new PSU, just in case this one starts to die and damages the other gubbins, but there's been no sign of that happening.

Will the seasonic 12 pin connector work on a 7(0 even though they recommend 850?

ok retard

I got a 750w. Hope it'll be enough for the 3080ti.

Mine is either 600 or 650 watts

Is it under warranty?

Just tell them that your PC is restarting, they'll send you a new one.

The ends that plug into modular PSUs are not standardized, fucknugget. You'll notice the other guy who replied understood that, because he's not a fucking idiot.

yea im good

your talking about the PSU side?

show me one modular PSU that doesn't have standard 6+2 PCIe pins

Nvida made some meme 12pin shit and the pins are smaller than regular PCI pins so it won't work

Should be fine as long and you don’t have a 9th gen cpu and 4 hard drives

>your talking about the PSU side?
Yes, fucking obviously. The other guy who replied got that immediately, because again, he's not a fucking idiot. I don't suppose you're going to try to claim that the PSU side of the cables have standardized pinouts?

>However, not all power supply cables are interchangeable. The component end of the cable is standardized to industry specifications, while the power supply end varies per brand

>linking MOBO cables

i knew it your just a retard, every modular PSU has the PCI standard cable (6+2)
this thread was about the GPUs not the whole system

If anyone needs a good 850W that's affordable for their future 3090 purchase, this unit is a steal. It offers performance on par with the RM850x, Superflower is not a well known brand in the USA but most EVGA PSUs were simply Superflower OEM products.

Getting a quality PSU during C19 has been pure hell. Just sharing this with my Zig Forumsros before leddit eats it up. Not a shill.

like i said show me a modular PSU without the standard GPU cable
