It's an inferior product in every way. I don't give a shit about all this information they harvest because they'll get it any way they want, even if Microsoft wants to hand it to them directly. What I care about is, "exclusives" on a platform that offers me nothing in return. Games aren't even cheaper. There's seriously no real purpose to EGS.

I would unironically prefer to wait for whenever the timed exclusivity runs out than use Epic.
If they want people to use their platform then they should be investing their billions into it to bring it parity with Steam or even make it better.

Epic isn't free of criticism and in those terms they should start making more valid moves than a lot of what they do today, though eh when it's a completely new game that would be full price on any other platform, I only see it as a different store to buy my things at, it is valid that they can improve by changing their shit though.
It's not like I can't stand things being outside of steam, I got multiple games like that. I'm not a massive steam cocksucker either. The simple fact is that 2 weeks after I made an epic account, it was hacked. I'm not going to put card information on a store with such garbage security, nor am I going to collect free games when they could instantly disappear. Also, I haven't seen a game that I wanted that I didn't already have
If it's not worth paying for then it's probably not worth playing
