Everything about this game after the trailer improved my impression of it. The trailer stuff still sucks; the messed up combat and dumb RPG additions. But the idea that this is a real Arkham game that you can play as any character, or play entirely solo, is a plus. Don't get me wrong I'd play it in co-op because that's always more fun, but I understand that they had to choose between "Arkham with 2 player co-op" or "4 player co-op beat-em-up that isn't a singleplayer arkham game at all". And I can't blame them for choosing the latter.
Most of all I'm just glad it's not always online GaaS shit.

I don't entirely disagree, I'm just saying from the trailer I wrote it off as Avengers-tier destiny garbage. And from further interviews it's clearly not that. Arkham Origins wasn't a bad game either, though certainly the weakest of the Arkham games. This is a 50% off sale game for me, user reviews pending of course

They would've had to redesign the levels to comfortably fit 4 players, but a play area big enough for 4 players is too big for single players
