No. Shitty JRPGs have dialogue. The best JRPGs have a silent protag and tell their story mostly visually. The visuals in this kickstarter octopath-lite look like ass and which means it's up to the dialogue to save it, and I have bad news for anyone who thinks that's happening.

In the best JRPGs, the main characters, all of them, can talk. There you have Final Fantasy. Basically, the father of the JRPG.
