So pretty much every game that won awards aren't even out. Yet Xbox, the platform thats been marketing CP2077, doesn't get the award for that game and instead goes to Tell Me Why? A game thats currently out. Makes no sense. Also why the fuck are games that aren't out yet getting awards in the first place?

I think Sony are are paying money to journalists under the table to market the PS5 while faking like they are unbiased. There needs to be some regulation to things like this because i'm pretty sure it is illegal. It makes no sense why they would say Cyberpunk 2077 is playstation best game that has marketing rights to Xbox.

They are doing this shit on purpose at every single major gaming event this year. Also Microsoft marketing office is partly to blame for this for not catching on.

Because marketing is key. If you market something heavily as being on one platform, people will associate it with that platform. It doesn't matter if it's elsewhere.
A good example of this is call of duty. Remember how it has xbox marketing exclusivity for a while, and sold extremely well on xbox? Then it moved to ps, and started selling better there?

People respond to marketing. You can deny it all you want, and maybe you as an individual are above that shit, but a huge portion of people just fall for marketing, that's why user data is so valuable. that's why they want your personal info to market ads specifically tailored to you. You see something you want and/or need, and buy it, without even thinking that they're marketing it to you directly.

people have been talking about the lack of gameplay since MS spent 3 months hyping up "GAMEPLAY GAMEPLAY GAMEPLAY" for july, then revealed a bunch of pre-rendered cinematics and shitty interviews with a total of 18 seconds of gameplay throughout a near 45 minute event.
