I assume because of licensing reasons?
game has been out for a while so sales have dropped, maybe square doesnt want to pay denuvo a portion for every copy sold, I am not sure how it works honestly.
At the very least they probably did it for the small boost to sales because of the people who were holding off cus of denuvo
