We probably would have gotten one more monster at least if COVID didn't happen (the most recent roadmap before COVID said "new monsters" past Alatreon, which very likely was not only Frozen Barioth and Fatalis), but perhaps it's better to just dedicate 100% of the team to MHW2 and let MHW settle for what it is.

I just want World gameplay with the unlockables for endgame armor like Generations/GU, its nice to look at the wide variety of armor we can craft from R series from earlier monsters, in World you only use the Variants and Elder Dragon armors to fight.

Because japan in general really has no clue how to telecommute. Their office environments are so outdated and almost ritualistically designed that the idea of people working from home is incomprehensible. I obviously don't know much about capcom in particular but I can speak for a few other companies, namely gungho online, who took almost 3 months to get hardware out to their staff. And then, get this, it took ANOTHER month and a half for them to upload the content they were working on from the office servers to whatever cloud they used. It's retarded.

In Monster Hunter World 2 we are planning to create a single set of armor that you level up and customize. The cosmetic customization is going to be on par with the custom upgrades we added to lower rarity weapons. Also the entire game is now guiding lands.

I don't mind it for Safi sieges, since having it at set periods means everyone does their grinding for it at the same periods, ensuring full rooms for the full event duration every time it comes up. Everything that's soloable though, no excuse.

But GL is fun, now at least you can just meld anything.
Infinite hunting mode you never die in and can invite your bros.

I'd be interested in something like that. Monsters that 'don't fit' the current area getting thrown in, random buffs&debuffs, all sorts of silly modifiers like minimum stamina, poison has quadruple effect, weapons locked at min sharpness, that sorta stuff.
