Honestly not sure which I will buy. Heavily leaning Xbox because of the spec gap and gamepass.
Serious console discussion

Xbox here fuck snoy

I'm not a manchild or a stremer, PC should be for work
I wanna build a PC as mine is out dated but to get one with a 2060 its $1200 right now in total. Xbox seems a better value currently. Maybe mid gen ill do a build.
Have to get both. Xbox for The Medium and Forza Horizon and Snoystation for Snoy Horizons.
I was really interested in the new Horizon but it looks like it's just "Le evil plague awakens" when the setting had so much potential. Kind of let down by the sequels premise
Neither. Upgrade your PC and get an Xbox controller for it if you want to use a "regular" controller. Next -gen consoles are just PCs without the features at this point.
I skipped Xbone so I've been considering SeX but there's that whole overhanging reality that every new game released on it is going to be downgraded for the first two years.
I'd have to replace everything and as I already said to get just a 2060 tier build its $1200. I'd rather buy a console and spend that extra money on my other hobbies and wait till part costs come down
>I'm not a manchild
>Buys a machine built exclusively for video games
Self awareness and autism don't go hand-in-hand.
I mean that's like saying Metro Exodus looks bad because it has to run on a base xbox one. It doesn't, games scale
Go to bed Phil.
Stop buying laptops, and stop caring about Nvidia. AMD will save you.
Ill eventually get a console when it comes down in price. I use gamefly and its the way to go for console gaming. I usually just play once and done games anyways.
I dont have a laptop. AMD's new cards aren't out and there is no sign of them
Why do you need the newest cards? I thought money was a factor? Are you compensating for something?
op, you are probably baiting but i still want to be honest with you
there are dozens of good, valid reasons to get a SeX, maybe you like its design, maybe you have a big previous xbox library and want to carry it to the next gen, maybe you have a bunch of halo friends etc etc all very understandable things.
gamepass is not one of them. it's a scam. they want to kill not just physical media, but digital purchases as well, and turn everything into a shitty service rather than a product
please, if you really want the SeX, at least buy your goddamn games on the store or even better, physically, just don't fall for that bullshit
Same. Gonna pick up a Series S for the cheap. Gonna wait to build a new PC until GPU prices return to sane levels.
I would never waste money on an Xbox. I would just put that $500 into building a PC. With the cost of an Xbox I'll almost have enough for a decent PC build.
I'm leaning Xbox as well.
What's the point of building a PC that a console out specs it and probably costs less than what you paid to build it? I really fail to see the point
Yes good post
Every game on PC must look like shit then because they come out on consoles too.
>until GPU prices return to sane levels.
This is the new normal. As more manufacturing leaves China, prices will go up. And the Industry is happy because they get to charge more for the same product.
Gamepass is for games I don't want to buy. Like a plague tale. I dont want to pay $20-30 for that, but it's still a good game that Im glad I played, but it's a gamepass tier game. Many such games.
Sounds like you have an inferiority complex and you don't actually enjoy gaming, you just enjoy proving you're "better" than someone.
>Xbox is killing physical
>lol I love using steam, what? Of course 98% of my games on PC are digital downloads.
Why would I spend more money on inferior hardware compared to a Series X? You are saying not to get the latest card, but if you aren't getting the latest card series at a new console launch then you are just paying for a lesser speced machine.
physical games > digital purchases > digital RENTALS
what kind of moron would RENT digital games, without even getting to decide which ones?
>Needs top of the line hardware to play video games
>Never plays anything but the most demanding graphical powerhouses.
You don't actually play games, do you?
>Every game on PC must look like shit then
Caring about graphics in 2020 is pleb tier. The best games tend to be indie games with simple stylized graphics, or MOBAs/Shooters designed to run on last ten hardware.
AAA games are garbage, and have been for quite some time. Defend one AAA game that came out this year.
No reason to buy shitbox if you already own gaming pc
PS5 because my friends have it :^)
Also Demon's Souls, no I don't care that it's "soulless"
It's your money, do what you want. But realize it's gonna be cheaper to just upgrade a graphics card down the line, than to buy a new console and build a PC later.
I really don't play indie games. They are usually roguelike shit nowadays
Seriously, caring about horsepower in 2020 is just sad... Most of the best games from the last 2 years are meant to run on last ten hardware.
>spend countless thousands to buy the 100+ games on gamepass half could be shit
>spend like 10 to test them all and beat some
>buy the ones you really like to own at a discount because gamepass gives discounts on those games.
What issue again?
I agree with where Indies went. That's why i mostly play HoTS and Squad (a mil sim with an active voice chat community). What do you play?
Console ports usually do but at least on PC you can mod/fix it youtube.com
A lot of them do, especially since everything is using fucking TAA now.
