How should I get started with this series?
How should I get started with this series?
the first one obviously
999 and VLR then skip the last one cause its bad.
It's bad but who are you kidding, if you go through the first two, you're going to want to know how it all ends. Even if its bad, its literally the reason everyone played it and nothing's going to change that.
i still havent finished it.
Obviously it's a trilogy so you should start with the third one :)
Play 999 and nothing else, really
if you go through the first 2, you'll want to know that the 3rd doesn't close shit and might aswell be it's own thing
just ignore and pretend it never happened
It doesn't end the story, but it explains some stuff about the 2nd game. The twist in the 3rd one fucking SUCKS, though.
999 but on DS, you'll miss something very important in other consoles
even DS emulator should be fine to at least understand why
VLR is good and had more fun with it than 999, puzzles are also better overall. If anything the setting is more fantasy like than 999
>played through 999
>found out I had to play the game multiple times to get the "real" ending
Fuuuuuuuuck that
What, its not like its fucking hard, doofy
You can turboskip all the dialogue you already saw and it's not a "multiple playthrough", its really a continuation of the story. You'll know while playing it, things doesn't go the way you'll expect them to be.
>only 2 times minimum for the true end
>speeding through is less than 1hr
>there's actually an important reason why it's like this
>it's also very important for the next games
your loss user
>play through puzzles again
that sounds like the definition of boring
Oh no, a maximum 2 minutes of your time is wasted redoing a puzzle you already know the solutions for. How terrible.
Don't act like your time is valuable, you're on Zig Forums
play 999 on DS and play the others on whatever. now fucking leave before someone spoils the game like Funyarinpa isn't real
>go through tedious puzzle solving and holding the skip dialogue its worth it i swear
yeah how about i just go on youtube and see it like that instead?
it's ok user, you're not the only retard in this board
just admit you're wrong
not an argument
play 1, then 2, then 3
get ready to be disappointed
then you can look up some of the memes about 3 to help lessen the blow of how shitty it is
Series? Theres only one game on the DS.
How is it not worth getting to literally the final third of the game ? You're missing out on a huge chunk of the story and arguably one of the biggest/best twist in videogames
did you miss the whole
>yeah how about i just go on youtube and see it like that instead?
not like there's any gameplay i'm missing out on
>How about I just watch someone succeed instead of succeeding myself
Do you tell your mom you're winning at fortnight when Ninja has a good game, too?
kek
>Do you tell your mom you're winning at fortnight when Ninja has a good game, too?
you seriously can't read can you
>not like there's any gameplay i'm missing out on
Pretty sure it's one assblasted guy posting the same shit every ZE thread. Just ignore
The whole game is a giant puzzle you have to figure out to win, dingus
if I remember correctly, you don't have to do anything again.
first, when playing through the different routes you can pick the opposite ones.
then, when you have to go and pick a specific dialogue option in specific puzzle room, you can skip right to that point and leave immediately.
unfortunately I didn't play the ds version, so I don't know how it worked in that version
I choose not to play it when they announced the change from visual novel style, and I did the right choice. I enjoyed partaking in the shitposting way more than I could have enjoyed that game.
Anyway, OP. Play 999 and VLR, they're fantastic, and if you are still wanting more - check out Ever17 and Remember11.
when you replay you go through different doors that means different puzzles.
When you do replay the same puzzles you can just skip them with the code you got on the first time through.
