When does it get good?

When does it get good?

it doesn't

When you hit uninstall

when you do

When your first playthrough is without neuromods

When you start the game

when you boot it up for the first time

When you acquire actual good taste.

I've been playing for a few hours now and it's still dull.

Then you have shit taste.

other than the lack of enemy variety, it's pretty fucking good

when you get cripplingly autistic enough to enjoy this boring game
>dude it's so fun you get to hit the same squiggly monster with a wrench over and over again

But it's pretty fun bro

main game is a 6, but the moon dlc is like a 9. it's great

When you do the lesbian quest and see the wholesomeness of a queer relationship

>brainlets can't into emergent gameplay
>he didn't use the popcorn gun to access mid game areas early
>he didn't experiment with the large variety of builds and gameplay styles

Right when you break the first LG screen.

>time limit in an immersive sim

>>he didn't use the popcorn gun to access mid game areas early
Skipping a lot of game areas and difficult enemies feels like cheesing.

5 mins in

combat and looting areas is pretty rewarding for neuros, skipping it is a trade off

>Tripfag has retarded opinion
Checks out

3 hours in.
So fucking tired of looting, scavenging and picking up every small thing like cigars, banana peels and used condoms.

its not worth it bro, trust me

At least tell me the story is good. Please?

When you become brave/strong enough to actively start hunting aliens and grinding them up into skill points.

i feel like if this game had enemies similar to deadspace or just like.... 10 more enemies then they had the game would be 10/10... but jesus christ after seeing a mimic, phantom, and robot youve basically seen everything the game has to offer... yes i know there are a few more but seriously they fuckin suck. boring and uninspired.
game almost feels like they built the whole game with no particular enemy in mind and had a like 3 month crunch to pump out some kinda enemy to go with the games design.

Filtered

No they just use the shotgun then come here and whine and say it’s boring

Once you have a clear idea of your build and access to the right weapons and powers, you'll start to have a lot more fun with the combat.

it only gets worse
enjoy the beginning because that is the best part of it

When you realize you got the wrong game and install the original Prey and have a great time.

This, but unironically. I HAD to find out what happened to them as I was doing the quests in game. Very compelling imo

Funny joke user, nobody actually wants to play the Lysol drinker simulator

When the game stops forcing you to play whack a mole with mimics, so never

other way around

use your scope

not really no, gameplay, setting and world building are the strongest aspects

Main game is an 9 mooncrash is a 4

when you smash the glass window and it's revealed to be a simulation, the game stagnates around 2/3 of the way through when they can't really throw anything new at the player or you are just overpowered compared to everything by that point

This was when the game lost all of its soul for me. Like sure it was exciting to see Nightmare for first time but now I just press on slow mo and and go right next to it and empty my shotgun without any feelings.

>listen to the audiolog where lesbian 1 is coming on to lesbian 2
If lesbian 1 had been a guy, you could've heard the indignant twitter screeching from the moon. Entire essays would've been written about the game portraying unacceptable workplace behavior.

the intro of this game is one of the most memorable i've ever seen in a video game and i was hooked almost immediately

2/10, not enough domestic abuse, not realistic.

Also the bitch in space just dies

yeah you can do that or you can slow-mo jump onto it's face and stick recycler grenades on it then stand back and watch it implode, the fun comes from exploring and being creative with the systems the game gives you
brainlets that expect a straight up action or action oriented game like bioshock are just gonna be dissapointed

I can't imagine wanting to play modern mediocrity that is "Prey" in name only instead of an absolute classic, but you be you.

S O U L

2006 Prey was better.

>or action oriented game like bioshock
Its the same genre.

I once spent like a fucking hour and a half putting every single fucking thing I could in that one big deconstructure/recycler in that 1 room. It surprisingly turned everything into what it should have but it def lagged like fuck.

Your doom 3 clone was a bargain bin title for a reason. Thankfully whatever garbage human head studios (makers of such hit titles as the quiet man) was canceled and Arkane’s Prey 2 is on the way.

Still waiting for a game to surpass SS2, this ain't it.

I too spent 30 minutes filling up the nice ball thing the game uses to teach you about recycler grenades
Accidentally jumped into the giant pile of items in an attempt to swing an extra chair ontop, and the resulting clusterfuck of physics instantly killed my character
Haven't played since

No, but it definitely surpassed SS1 at least

>Accidentally jumped into the giant pile of items in an attempt to swing an extra chair ontop, and the resulting clusterfuck of physics instantly killed my character
This sounds like a Nethack death

no but it was closer to the mark than any of the bioshock games
