I've got more updates coming over the weekend but I wanted to show off and play test the BLAST ATTACK that's now working! Fill up your blast charge and use it when you're getting swarmed by cells.
other changes: -background and paddles are higher-contrast than ever before -you can move normally during map shrinkage with way less jank than before
coming soon: -Matches will start on a timer so slower connections won't be at a disadvantage -two kinds of power ups -stage hazards -bug fixes

Oh hey I caught the thread this time. Blast is a fucking wackadoo. The background change is good. I noticed the improvement on play area adjustments.
Still adjusting to blast for the most part, but I like it. My only suggestion would be that it doesn't speedcap balls it repels. Dunno if it's within your capabilities, but maybe something in line with "1 ball bursted = speed cap and max power, 2 = two step increase 3+= regular volley"
still though, fun. fix score and make it more valuable i'm topping charts with 70+k even when I lose. >:(
oh welcome back kaboomanon if I get what you're saying, you think the blast causing speedup for several balls at once is too powerful? It does seem to cause a bunch of max speed balls to zoom around the map pretty early on.
What would you change about how points are valued?

Yeah it's mostly early game where it seems to be an issue with blast, I've seen people get slammed with 5-6 full powered balls because if you've got a queue of shots, you can fire>blast and shoot them all out f ull power on some unfortunate soul. I don't honestly know the exact valuation on points, and how they interact with effects of the game, just that the 500 you get for landing a shot on someone seems either too high for the lack of reward (leading to things like me ending up with 75k+ yet in 8th place) or just being weirdly numbered in general.

hmm, I'm not sure if anything comes to mind where scores might be awarded inaccurately/unfairly right now, but I'll keep that in mind. It's always possible you just have a higher score because you're getting more hits and kills, even if you don't win the match!
I'm looking into toning down the blast power too, even though it is pretty funny

No no, I mean the scores are being REWARDED fairly, it just seems a bit silly that I'm coming out the other side near 20k higher than the winner. Tone down the amount of points you get from hitting shots from 500 to 300 and I think that should balance out a fair bit.
