A better question is who the hell is watching these?
I like some, its comfy when it rains outside.
But, it must have in game footage and not just talk, except maybe when its the LoreRunner.
A close friend of mine really tried to convince me to watch a 3 hour video describing white Kaiba is the best character in yugioh.
He is 30 years old, and I am babysitting his child later today
That guy sounds incredibly based
because its the new hip thing to do and its gets the revenue.
post some good ones
Me.
Hearing a different perspective can give you a newfound appreciation for a work of art and can help you refine your own opinion. Having a video essay is a convenient avenue to having a conversation on a subject that other people around you don't care about. And since it's a long, scripted essay there's assuredly a lot of thought put into it so you're not just getting some off-the-cuff suface-level take.

Those who won't stop talking usually have nothing of substance to say.
>Video essay about a game
>its 2 hours long
>they got the entire plot wrong
>its a girl ytuber
>watching smudboy "analysis"
>it's literally just a summary of the entire plot, with very little analyzing.
That's just the worse.
>v hates people who care and actually talk about video games
Whoa no way.

Video essays aren't so bad, if you want video games to be taken seriously then you need to critique them seriously. Too many long form videos are little more than reaction videos too, with little to no analysis.
>if you want video games to be taken seriously
Nobody wants this except newfag zoomers.
How do I stop youtube from recommending me Joseph Anderson's withcer videos
I've never watched a single one of his videos, I keep telling youtube to not show me his shit but it just keeps doing it
>Video essay analysis is half summary of the game
>the other half is over analyzing shit and being wrong because the creator missed or ignored certain parts of the game
after saying dont show me this video, click on it and click "i've already seen this video"
